I once at a piece of bread from 1799. If you're wondering how, it's because it became sentient and I shot it and here we are.

Drinking old wine is fine, it's meant to be aged.

Hmm, I'm just trying to think of something else that could be aged.

I know they found edible bread in the ruins of Pompei.  Would've tasted of ash though.

hmm dwarven bread Pratchett style.  :o

I'll try some of my 4year old vlierbes (elderberry) tincture...it molded over a week after being bottled.

hmm translation of 'lijsterbes' appears to be sorb or service berry. heh strange I swear I remember  a different name.
Rowan berries are darker and harder though they are somewhat similar in texture.
Collected some sorbs today, as I walked home from the vet (Rat getting neutered to prevent repetition of ratsplosion).
Not nearly enough though for any project, so I'll walk by the park for more when I go pick him up.

Let's talk about old food we've eaten!

Once I had grated Parmesan Cheese two years after its expiration date.

a tin of coffee cake from 1940. tasted like coffee cake.

My brother tried brewing rootbeer once.  It came out all alcoholic and gross.

Your brother tried brewing soda?!  He thought that would work?

I mentioned that bottle of paint thinner right?  There was also some canned vegetables from 1996.

There was this extract stuff that was sitting in our cabinets for 10 years or so.  The yeast did carbonate it, but it tasted like half rotted grape juice.
