((Um... no. You couldn't take Nessie. Unless of course the Dice rolls were freakishly in your favor. A 6!,6! to hit and a 6!,6!,6!,6! damage would kill just about anything. Of course, that's also freakishly unlikely. Besides, these little ponds are way too small for the likes of Nessie. (Despite her fitting into a single tile in the DF universe)))
Day 6, Turn 3!: Order: The goblin (1!), Dragnar (2!), Reece (5!), Ajax (6!), Dwareet'ik (3!); New Order: Ajax, Reece, Dwareet'ik, Dragnar, The goblin
Ajax-
(Observation check:3!) (Random encounter:4!) (Luck:1!) (Stealth:6!,5!) (Observation Wild boar:1!) (Action:2!)
(And that tells you almost the entirety of the turn right there.)
You're quite perplexed about how to get the darn bird out of the lake. If you still had your poor little dog with you, you might conceivably been able to convince it to retrieve the thing for you. But survival of the fittest, and your poor dog simply lost out. You search around for some other ways to get the bird to you, but find nothing easy. The water is calm, now that the ripples from the bird have ceased and nothing disturbs the surface except a few water beetles. The swan is about fifteen feet from the nearest edge and almost dead center in the pond.
As you're looking for a way to get to your kill you hear a sound behind you, approaching the pond. You're quick enough to hide as a massive wild boar grumpily makes it's way to the water's edge for a drink. The beast is truly a splendid specimen of spectacular succulence. And would likely feed you for a week. IF you could kill it. It's times like these you wish you had a spear.
You hunker down in the brush, concealing yourself wonderfully and watch the creature. It's not hesitant to approach the water but gets a little bogged down in the soft soil near the water's edge. It takes it's sweet time too, rolling a little in the mud and enjoying the water. With that thing there you see no way to get to the bird unnoticed.
Stealth exp +2
Reece,the Goblin, and Dragnar-
(Observation check:R:3!, tG:4!, D:2!) Not seeing any obvious exits nor anything particularly useful, you exit the room and the goblin follows you. You could have sworn you saw Dragnar pass near this way exploring as well and you soon locate him just as he's about to enter a double doorway leading west. There are dwarven engravings on the doors as well as the walls by the doorway which you don't understand but it's clear that this place had been intended for other use as well since the words "The Bold Anvil" Are printed next to a finely carved Heronbone image of an anvil on stone. The phrase 'Where ye come to get hammered!' is printed in smaller carvings underneath it.
(Stealth: R:2!, tG:5!, D:2!) You try to be quiet but Reece and Dragnar simply can't help making noise as they move around in their armor. The goblin has considerably more success at sneaking behind the others as you enter. The room may once have been truly spectacular but it is now no longer quite so. The bar itself is intact, though many of the stools are now toppled or broken. Several tables have been badly damaged for no apparent reason and one or two are lying on their sides. The walls and floor are highly smoothed but a thick layer of dust covers everything. Dragnar is engrossed with the bonework on all of the furniture to the missing of many other things of interest. Stories and scenes and just plain amusing decorations stud all the furniture in the room. Behind the bar is a door that is ajar. You can see a small spiral stair leading both up and down.
In the center of the room is a large orthoclase statue of a dwarf, Masterfully carved and rich in detail. Bonework decorations of high quality further enhance the splendor of this statue. Around it in the four cardinal directions are stairs leading down into darkness and the webbing around them seems thicker. Most of the webbing in the room appears old and sagging. In the dust of the floor you can make out a multitude of footprints, added over the ages but never truly cleaned.
On the wall opposite you lies another set of double doors, one ajar and many tracks lead into it. The webbing is also clustered around this doorway, though a pathway through it is still open.
No enemies are visible.

Dwareet'ik-

Recovery roll:3!+1 Bandages+1 Resting You feel much better and even your leg stops hurting. The bandages are probably not doing much anymore and you remove them.
