well, i was hoping the kick to the groin would be able to at LEAST stun him,

but whatever,

"i know these things, i reasearched many of the creatures populating the land, theres a lot you can do in One Hundred years."

(the kick at least does non-lethal damage, right? i want this guy alive)

Non-lethal (subdual) damage is totted up separately from normal HP damage.

When subdual damage to a creature exceeds or equals its HP total, the creature is knocked unconscious.  Creatures that cannot be knocked out (e.g. constructs, undead) are immune to this.

Fists and kicks normally deal subdual rather than lethal damage.  Weapons (such as a spear) deal lethal damage except for special cases (e.g. a sap).

Trying to deal lethal damage with your fists (unless you have Improved Unarmed Strike) or subdual damage with a lethal weapon incurs a -4 penalty to your attack roll.

This means that the goblin currently has 7hp, 2 subdual damage.

Minus more if my readied attack did any damage (which still has to be rolled).

Adept's turn. I'm too busy to worry about the adept right now, so I'll take a 5-foot step forwards, and then swing both my rapier and dagger at the goblin we're currently fighting.

"Die!"

The adpet pulls out a roll of parchment, and reads. He turns his hand to Shadowstrike and yells "Magic Missile!" A bolt of energy springs from his hand, hitting Nirur and doing 4 damage!

Spot of tactical advice:  A 5ft step forward will take you through the goblin's threat range.  You are already in position to attack him.

Also, not going to roll my attack, DM?  You said you rolled my opportunity stroke, but I also made a normal attack.  Readying an action for a circumstance means you delay your action until it happens; the circumstance was the goblin coming into range of my attack, which he did.

It shouldn't trigger an AoO, and the next player will be able to flank the goblin.

Quote from: 3.5 SRD rules, on 5-foot step
You can move 5 feet in any round when you don’t perform any other kind of movement. Taking this 5-foot step never provokes an attack of opportunity. You can’t take more than one 5-foot step in a round, and you can’t take a 5-foot step in the same round when you move any distance.

Fair enough.  Apologies if it seems like I'm rules lawyering, trying to help things move smoothly.

Thanks for the reminder about the 5ft step rule, Nirur, wasn't sure.

Goblin 1, then Shadowstrike, then me?

Things haven't changed much since I posted my action (Too early, I guess), so I'm still going with that.

You attack with both weapons, but he blocks your rapier. You thrust your dagger at him, and dig it deep. (1/6)
