so in DF once world gen has stopped no more events continue to happen ? is there anyway to resume the worldgen after I have played a adventure mode then retired him in a town so I could go back and look what he has done ?

This is a very much requested feature in DF, and it's very much planned.  It's not in yet, though, and there is no way to resume worldgen at present.  Major complications include "What happens to the forts I've built in the past?" and no, it's not easy, and no, whatever solution you have in mind won't make it easier.  ;)  Give it a year or two.

maybe Unreal World?

it doesnt have any major events, but all the animals in the area are constantly moving.

like a super advanced DF adevnture mode.

That's getting closer and closer to getting esclipsed by DF's.
Seriously, URW got only really minor improvement over the years...

SimEarth - the whole game is about tweaking planetary parameters and watching what the results will be.

Actually, now that you mention it, even the Sims has a pretty dynamic world...  Just nothing interesting happens in it.

...Just because game have Sim in its name, it does not mean its something like "sims"
Basically, You control a planet. You can change everything, from wind speed to the orbit angle.

It's essentially a planet simulator. You go from birth of the planet till its "death" and have control over tweaking parameters such as mutation rates, meteor frequency, planet's axis, greenhouse effect, etc.. You may also spawn things on the planet manually, these actions normally cost energy in normal play, but there's also a mode with unlimited energy, so you can pretty much go crazy then.

The game is pretty detailed. It simulates tectonics, erosion, various natural disasters, etc. as well as evolution. Assuming you tweak your planet's temperature and weather right, you could lead to natural evolution of advanced life on your planet and eventually to civilizations being formed (although you could also just spawn a monolith on the race of your choice and have sentient fish or dinosaurs). The game doesn't keep track of any actual countries, it's just one-tile city-states, and they advance in technology and can wage war with each other (possibly even nuclear, leaving affected areas radiated). They go on doing this till they're high tech enough and decide to migrate to another planet, and the game goes on and on until your planet dies.
