Black and White one was pretty good. I don't remember the previews and what Molyneux said about it so I can't say if he lied or not, but I liked it (and the unique style of gameplay) alot.

I actually like toady's style of development; he doesn't give a shit no matter how much people gripe, and always comes through in the end with something awesome. Even in times of doubt, he manages to surprise us in the most unexpected ways.

As for the whole promises deal, I like dorf fortress being in ASCII/tiles. The imagination part of the fortress allows you to truely create anything you would ever want. I really think that with the new implementations such as cavernous regions and burrows, it's a step toward the most epic fortress capability ever.

Yea, you're right Slappy Moose! I made a mockery of all the bullshit but stunning 3D titles coming out. I stopped buying and playing them, except Elder Scrolls although I consider Bet going in the wrong direction on a lot of issues. My favorite was Daggerfall, also known as Buggerfall hehe.

I will take DF gfx over anything else because of the depth, scope and enjoyability of the game.

I only started playing last christmas, when I found a Dwarven Fortress thread on /tg/.

Kid.  Alcohol may be bad for you in excess, but blowing your nonexistent money on alcohol is a REALLY bad idea.  This is not how you need to start your life.  Kick the habit.  Do it SOON.

Yes, I know. And it's not so much in excess, I just attend parties on a regular basis. And in rebuttal to the blowing nonexistent money.. It's no longer non-existant when my paycheck "checks" in. Now I'd like to take this conversation away from my life. Why haven't YOU donated?

More detailed and realistic combat system is what I'm looking for most, that and actually being able to see all this gory details in the logs in the Fortress mode!

Subscription is a good idea, but it is not for me. I prefer doing a bigger one every year or half year, as my income is very irregular.. just like Toadys hehe.
