39, been playing ASCII games since I discovered Moria and Empire in college.  Played a lot of Angband over the years, but only started playing Dwarf Fortress last week.  So far enjoy both the game and the meticulous recklessness of its fans.

I had first downloaded DF probably a little over a year ago, though.


Oh, and I had never actually played any ASCII games before, although I had heard of them and had a vague interest. This seemed kind of daunting, so I used the mike mayday pack (and yes, I realize that ASCII has some aesthetic advantages and I don't want to start some big argument over that).

I don't think he meant that in an offensive way, but I do think you took it as such and reacted upon it. I don't care about my age, as people will pre-judge me according to me being 15 no matter where I post on the internet. Yes, I know what "4chan" is. Yes, I know what "20 mins nevar forget" is. No, I'm not a "XD LOL RANDUM" idiot.

Though alot of young people are idiots when it comes to the internet, it's wrong to exercise prejudice to all those who are under the age of 18. Some of whom are quite more mature than others.
