- DF will feature unicorns in 3D you can ride sooner with your support (in 30-40 years - dont mention this part)
- DF will have huge 200k armies you can lay waste with sooner with your support (soon!)
- DF will be playable on Xbox and Playstation sooner with your support (50+ years)
- DF is implementing the newest pixel-shader technology and slow-mo deaths sooner with your support (a number of months)
- DF will be multiplayer sooner with your support (is already with zip 'n send, but soon soon says the moon)
etc etc
From what I recall of many of Toady's statements, you're rather wrong here.
- Graphics are likely to stay ASCII, because it allows you to imagine your own fort. Doing otherwise is an injustice to how open-ended DF is, the whole spirit of the game is to make a fantasy world the way you want to see it, not how some animator sees the drawings of a concept artist's vision of things.
- Df is likely to stay PC based because 1. You'd need to port it over which won't happen and 2. I doubt an X-box could handle more than a 4x4 embark site. You need mega-rigs right now to play a large fort, so the only way a console could handle it is one designed specifically for DF, which is unlikely.
- Multiplayer will not happen, ever. There is, quite simply, no machine ever that could handle several people playing DF on it at the same time.
Not to say you shouldn't donate, but you shouldn't promise things that won't happen. We already have Peter Molyneux for that.
