What's the fun in that?  Robots like challenges too.

Rotten Tomatoes is stupid.  It's been around since the glory days of Homestar.  Put it down, it's the only humane thing to do.

I agree. Rotten Tomatoes is something like IGN or Gamespot in regard to game reviews...  ;D

No it's not.  It's much more like Metacritic, which is an excellent and reliable indicator of game quality.

I don't know...I mean lot of good movies are receiving [uber]low scores on RT. Ah well, this really is a subjective thing.

I for one found the only redeeming quality of Terminator Salvation to be the Terminators with miniguns. There was basically no plot and what little it had made even less sense. Me and my friends both called the plot twist within ten minutes of the movie's start.

Big disappointment.. =(

Guys, you're missing the point. Yes, the movie was boring and the characters were flat and castrated. However, the reason for all this, the core reason Terminator Salvation sucked, is because it completely forgot about the escort theme and the Implacable Man trope that defined the series.

Fuck this movie.

Hey, remember the part at the end where John Connor blithely announces mission critical details about the final assault on the machines via unencrypted AM radio to all the resistance?

It's a good thing the robots didn't hear any of that.

Yes, every single technical detail is completely pointless, and all the characters and scenes are flat and contrived.

However, no sci-fi action production has ever been diminished by the presence of Stock General Michael Ironside.

There's too much fundamentally wrong with this movie for it to be saved by a few bits of good acting or action.

Also, Aqizzar, in response to your earlier comment about perhaps not liking the same things you enjoyed as a kid, I urge you to rewatch T2. I think you'll find that movie to be transcendent for every reason that T4 is garbage, and it has better action, to boot.

I thought it was good. Purely because it was running of the awesome of the first two movies.

I liked the bit with the land mines. I also liked the bit when the guy screamed cause he was an evil robot. I liked the bit when he rebelled. I liked the bit when the robot was acctually a good guy and sacrificed himself to save humanity, cause he had a little bit of heart in him that acctually got put into John Connor (cause he obviously he was in an AB+ blood group and could donate to anyone right?). I also liked the bit with the cancer lady for good measure. What else did I like? hmm. That bit when the nuclear bomb went off, I was sitting there thinking to myself out loud quitely "Hmm, that blast wave would be travelling faster than sound, how come it hasn't caught up with the helicopter yet?". And then thought "That would be a shit ending for John Tiberius Connor.

Other than that it was ok.

I rewatched T2 and T3 just now with my friends and yeah, they were way better than T4. By miles and miles and miles.

I loved part 4. Maybe I am the only one on this forum?  ;D
Either way, T2 was the best imo, followed by T4&T1. T3 kinda sucked. This is my opinion at least.
