Also, after a bit off pissing around with bug testing (I got to modkill and forcein random words) I'm now the official Dazbot guineapig.  I'll see if I can get onto the !noobs table on the strength of that .

A moderator cannot tell if you are using /whois to detect when somebody is sending messages - that command is server-side, not channel-side or bot-side. None the less, it isn't in the spirit of the game and I personally would consider it violating if I found out that somebody was doing it. Even if it wasn't against the rules, would you really want to win the games through use of an exploit? Sure it might make your rank go up but it'll hardly give the satisfaction that winning normally does, nor will it gain you the esteem of other players.

The command will change to !xmafia or !xm in order to both preserve memory of the old bot and also change it to something more aesthetically appealing (I agree myself that !dmafia is ugly). For those of you wondering about the change to the commands in the first place: being able to have both bots in the channel simultaneously is the goal for the first week or so of transition in case of unforeseen hitches with DazBot. Once both myself & Xyl are satisfied that DazBot is stable, DazBot will revert to one of the aforementioned commands.
