I have to pay attention more.  I completely missed this one earlier.

If this all doesn't fix it, your dwarfs are lazy. Apply magma.
"And thereafter, all dwarven children were taught to mind their stools, lest the toilet-fiends snatch their souls from their bottoms"
Try rubbing a cat on it, that seems to help.

I've done Orcput. Blasted the poor thing down 20 or so z-levels and about 40 tiles in front of me.
After climbing down the tower, I found my pile of gibblets waiting for me at the bottom. I half expected there to be a crater.

Until Toady fixes the embark screen, Pansy is a non-achievement like those random 10 points you get for plugging in a controller. That's the only way to remove a site that meets all the requirements you specified but was unsuitable for another reason (mountain too short, mountain too tall, exposed magma pipe, home of a semi-megabeast or megabeast, waterfall flooding the world, etc).

Real dwarves don't need the site finder to find awesomeness for them.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Done it. It's kinda cool but I didn't play too long because the "rock" placeholder material doesn't produce usable stone.
