technically they could survive off vermin all that time.  But yea, still highly unlikely.
That sounds like a megaproject challenge.

Carping ambushes did this to my megaproject. :'(

How I got the Bloodfist to be built how it is, by shutting off gravity to allow it to be the airship it is. Unfortunately, I'm having a hard time finishing the darn thing. Damn ambushes.

And a bit of lampshade hanging:

And of course:

This is highly unpossible. Farms are constructions. Stills are constructions. All Dwarves would be dead in less than a year.

Wrong. Farms and stills are not constructions. Walls, floors, stairs, ramps, and fortifications are constructions.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Yes, we had a prolonged conversation with Phantom on the difference between buildings and constructions.

It would still be easy without either buildings or constructions, as long as you picked a suitable biome.  Gather plants, drink water, done.

99% of the population only?

Christ, are you dwarves or are you elves? If you think Hell has too many demons, then you kill them till the population reaches an acceptable number.

Second to last is totally impossible at this time, even with mods. Therefor doesn't get 'funny because its true' bonus.

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)
