Noticed the flying? He's using hacks so that he can show you the effects without making you wait for him to break it.

Modding your .jar is pretty easy, just make sure you delete META-INF, and if you mess up just force a update and it will fix it.

Srsly, a .jar file is literally just a zip file. Just drag the new files into it, and as said above, the worst that can happen is that you'll have to delete the minecraft.jar and the launcher will re-download a fresh one.

I'll skip updating until most mods are updated, wolves, cookies, and changing respawn points isn't enough to make me give up planes, Mo' Creatures, More Creeps and Weirdos, Minimap, IndustrialCraft, Ruins and Builders.

On a totally different topic, apparently the new dogs only attack things you hit with melee thereby making the bow a little less useful. In my opinion, it should be possible to craft a porkchop and arrow together to make a special meaty arrow that your beloved doggies should immediately fetch from the still-living/undead flesh of whatever you shoot with it.

Who else saw stats and achievements not making it into the update? Shocks all round!

Pathetic update in all honesty, couldn't care less about cookies or a pet wolf.

Can different players have different spawn points on mp servers then?
