SMP doors are sort of buggy, you can use left click to open them up. They will close back up quickly, but you have enough time to pass through and you don't get the half-door bug, even tho only you can see that.

Hahah, I was playing on a new offline world with a bunch of floating islands and I somehow turned the difficulty up to hard. I was going to show up here and complain how annoying it was to fight dozens of creepers every night as they try to invade my floating, almost-self-sustaining island.

But then I turned the difficulty down and it is considerably better.

Don't I feel silly!

But then again I have like 24 units of gunpowder and several large craters, so it's not all that bad.

Anybody have the solar flare rune?

I tried it and it was massively unimpressive.Turned a small area around it from grass to dirt and killed a tree. Probably just meant to deice things. The rune in last update used lava, glass, and gold, and was therefore totally not worth using. I heard he changed it in the recent update.

Hmm... I managed to rig up a perpetually looping powered minetrain that used a single line (with loops to either side dumping the carts back onto a straight path). The problem being that even with a powered cart going uphill is slow as hell, and, since one loop is at the base of a hill, riding down it sends you flying back up before the powered cart gets to the loop, so you just get pushed back down before it loops around and takes you back up the hill. I want to make it a full looping track, with several trains running on it (mostly for speedy travel down, so there's always a train at the top), assuming they don't all cluster together for some unforeseen reason...

And yeah, I've just now gotten to really playing around with minecarts, because I haven't really had the iron to make extensive track networks.


Edit: finally used TNT. Another thing I hadn't played around with because of resource constraints. Six blocks of it took out what probably would have taken half an hour to clear by hand, and as many iron picks.

I suppose I'll dl runecraft and muck around in a clean skylands or something on peaceful until I find it. Then make a huge donation so I can get a secret rune.
