That's where Il Palazzo is from:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
It's a small-ish city in Poland, called "Nowa Sól", which would translate to "New Salt".
Unlike the picture suggests, there are actually some young people living here.

Hm this looks like a typical Hungarian town.  ;D

I'm not a big fan of giving out too much personal info.

I was born and spent most of my life in central Connecticut. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone in CT is rich. Try living around (or even in) Hartford for a while.

I'm currently in a decent-size town around Gilette Stadium. It's a nice place and I wouldn't mind living here if it weren't for the fact that my folks are getting older and I'd like to move back home to take care of them.

You're a goddamn liar is what you are!
What is this? I live in tiny scary town that will someday be featured in a film about meth addicted child molesters (They'll just model the set after the town, no film crew would ever set foot here) and you get the goddamn happy ending from a fairy tale! There's a pretty constructed water fall for Christ's sake. What's the biggest problem that town has, mischievous pixies?
I refuse to accept this.

Outside of some large tech campuses, this is some of the densest construction in the county.

It's not a constructed waterfall, it's a natural one topped with concrete so it doesn't crumble away.

And we have 50%+ unemployment, minefields (99% have been cleared, though), PTSD and corrupt politicians. And tourism, which was a major pillar of our economy, is dead.

The natural waterfall, this does not make me happier.
As to the other stuff, that pretty much sucks. But at least it's pretty.

Isn't DC in Virginia, which IS a state?
Technically, DC is not a state. Also, it inhabits more of Maryland than Virgina(Being on the north side of the Potomac river).

Not to mention Virgina seems to exhibit a supernatural force that turns all their drivers into idiots.

I live in Falls Church Virginia, outside of Washington D.C. (raised in Reston, VA) and I am an excellent driver. It's just hard when all 3 million of us get on the road at the same time every day. If you consider us bad, then you've never been to Florida.

Sigh. Things are even more fucked up that I thought.

I bet at least 20% of Americans don't even know what DC stands for.

(District Columbia. There. Now it's 19.85%)

More like 95%, I like to simply say I am from the D.C. area, but most people, not from the area, have no idea what I am talking about.

I was born in Bethesda Maryland by the way.

Can you visit your birthplace in Fallout 3?

If you make your best comparison of the Fallout 3 map to a real map (it's a far stretch) then my friend, who first introduced me to DF, lives right on top of Vault 101 and I am pretty close as well.

I was disappointed with Fallout 3 btw. The first two were way better. It's just Oblivion with guns (not trying to start a discussion on this now).

As a substitution for the obligatory hometown skyline pic, I offer a view of the underground Metro of the D.C. area, which I use frequently.

When I was there I was really impressed with DCs subway. Really, efficient, clean and had a nice design to it. It just felt federal. I see it still has that look. Still, nothing beats the London Underground.
