Jen leads her forces back north, in search of booty and nice pointy rocks. They find the town has built up its forces considerably, but they still outnumber the defenders by a good margin. The ensuing battle is fierce, and the defenders inflict significant casualties, but the attackers' superior numbers prove telling, and the defenders break. The raiders then set about ravaging the countryside, looting anything they can carry and burning the rest. They find the city's source of flint, but have neither the time nor the discipline to excavate much before they head back home. Still, it was a very profitable raid.
Things at home are less exciting, but go reasonably well. A silver mine is built in the hills, and irrigation along the river. Research into horseback riding is going steadily, although no breakthroughs have been made as of yet. Ragt'ich's population continues to grow, and the city is in fact becoming rather crowded. The always high crime rate is getting even worse, and a few people are starting to pack up and leave in search of safer places to live.
