Incidentally, there is no rule against me irrigating 1, 2, 3 and 6 if I possessed farming.

common sense isn't a rule?

Okay, everyone's turns are in, and I'm working on your turn reports. First, though, there are a couple things I'd like to address. First, please don't put up a preliminary turn and then go back and edit it to add your RP stuff. There's no prize for getting your turn in first, and it's a bit of a pain to go back and check everyone's posts for edits.
Secondly, I want to clear up when things become available. Resources you harvest, and refined resources you prepare (including weapons and armor) are available for use on the turn they are produced. Everything else - buildings, technologies, terrain improvements, military units, and so on - is not ready for use until the beginning of your next turn. Pandarsenic, this means that you shouldn't be able to build that granary this turn even if you do get Construction, although I'll let it slide this time - if your roll well enough to get Construction this turn, that is.

Wait, shouldn't that mean I'd complete the Granary but not be able to store my extra food until next turn?

Right, TECHNOLOGIES.

If you want, you can change it to a Clothier's Workshop. :|

And I'd like to point out, food and luxury consumption rounds up. That means you all need 11 food this turn, and it'll take 2 clothing to get a morale bonus. (Labor rounds down, though.)

The impressive results of the research spearheaded by Ramades have won him growing acclaim and influence, and the peoples' confidence is bolstered by the growing stockpiles being amassed under the Patriarch's plans. Asykos society is not much given to public jubilation, but the discerning observer might just be able to detect a polite, pleasant buzz running through the city.

Amnarchis himself remains doubtful, however. The grand New Library he envisions will require researchers to staff it, who in turn will need food to feed them. The food piling up in the granary is only a stopgap solution; the city will require improved sources of food. Ramades is sent away from the Halls of Learning and dispatched to oversee construction of a quarry to capitalize on his discoveries, overriding his objections of the importance of his research. The Patriarch himself steps in and heads the research efforts within the Great Library, diverting research away from the increasingly complicated engineering techniques Ramades had been working on in the search for records of improved farming techniques.

You could, I suppose, but then you wouldn't be halfway to your 11th point of labor.

Spoiler: OOC Actions (click to show/hide)

The goblin screamed with agony as the lash of the whip stuck him again and again. The screaming grew weaker with each strike. Grlk'nr grinned cruelly as he whipped the other goblin one more time, then handed the whip to Stozuagun. "Now then, failure of a messenger. You will tell me why you had the new farmland created in the wrong place."

"I d .. I don ..." The goblin sobbed weakly

"Tell me, and you may die now. Otherwise I shall leave you with my friend here, and he is less merciful than I. There is a conspiracy afoot, and you are in on it."

"Vor ... Vorsar. To the .. south. Please ..."

"See? That wasn't so hard. You may kill him now, Stozuagun."

Stozuagun, visably dismayed, stabbed the prisoner in the back with a knife and twisted it until he died. Grlk'nr looked over at the group of young goblins who stood behind him, and pointed at one. Nervously, the chosen goblin stepped forward to hear Glrk'nr's command. "Messenger, you have seen what happens to those who displease me. See that you do not follow that one's fate. Bring me Xungbubukza." As the messenger left, Glrk'nr pointed at the remaining group of messengers. "Ensure that the farming continues as I planned."

-----(Later that day)-----

"And so you see, Xungbubukza, you must be the one find this 'Vorsar.' Stozuagun and his company of spearmen will escort you. Begin your search to the south, but try to circle around the city and explore the areas around the cave network; I have my doubts about the traitor telling the truth of Vorsar's location. Remain on the lookout for anything suspicious or interesting, even if it has nothing to do with Vorsar."

As Xengbubukza and Stozuagun saluted Glrk'nr and left, a small group of laborers entered. "Good, you're here early. The people need to be reminded of who's leading them: me. You will begin work on a grand motivational shrine to me for this purpose. Do not fail."
