Ick. Two gold per turn for my settlements? Plus ten in start ups?
Shouldn't the people in the settlements be paying taxes?

It seems like a fair limiter to me. What's the resource production rate for colonies? Five laborers working unaltered squares?

I guess if I made a few gather silver for gold it could work. ;D

No, some of the colonists' labor goes to feeding themselves and maybe making a palisade or something, so you don't get the full output.
As for taxes, they need steady supplies of some tools and such they can't make themselves.

Okay, how much food per turn would a colony on plains with a river send back to Zrlv?

Okay, how much food per turn would a colony on plains with a river send back to Zrlv?
... wouldn't it just be 5*3-5=10 p/turn? Might be less in the beginning (pallisades and such), but I assume they won't build palisades forever. I can't see why 'food' that lasts for at least a year in a granary can not be transported without loss.
Although, with a long way to travel it might be somewhat inefficient, especially without pack animals.
Perhaps a series of upgrades that determine resource transfer efficiency; traders, caravans, roads / traders, rafts, boats for river/coast accessible colonies.

No, colonies don't get as big a production radius, plus there's some inefficiency involved.

Sorry for the horribly long RPing.
My turn is up though!

Strife, your top secret military briefings scare me. A) You put way too much effort into that, and B) Everyone who's not a Zefie is doomed to the endless hordes of little puffballs. Doomed I say! Doomed!

... In roughly 50-60 turns.

I thought that the briefings would take less time than the stage directions I was writing before. It turns out that it isn't the case.

Remember though, the zefies are extremely nice generally speaking. You just can't do anything hostile to them or anyone they like.

Line up for military alliances with the zefies now!

Looking through your turn, a couple things:
First, stone walls and palisades don't stack, but if you're looking for heavier fortifications some research in that direction would probably prove fruitful.
Second, you may have forgotten, but you already did some exploration to the north in turn 11. Do you want to explore further north?

Nope. I looked at the rich resources that are ripe to be exploited including forests and a river. I want the 1st Warrior to find the best spot that they can find and sit on it.

Ah. You could have been a bit clearer about that, but okay.

Sorry. There was originally going to be a section about what Captain Hadrian remembered of his first trip north, and how he thinks that they could find the perfect spot if they looked for a while. I figured that if I started writing it, it would be at least another 500 words or so.

We're waiting on Mainiac and RPB. Mainiac, I haven't seen hide nor hair of you in over a week. You sure you're back?
