I was planning on having the resources to give 500 civvies daggers.

What do sages do again?

Well, day before I get home, and I have to say: Why are there only three turns up?

Because you mentioned a deadline of Wednesday. Procrastination is what deadlines are for.

(Will do the writeup tomorrow morning)

Alright, I think we need to emulate the terms of the Geneva Convention. Sorry for the liberties taken with your laborers' reactions, Pandarsenic. I'll change it if you want.

A trio of unarmed and ragged-looking goblins approach the outskirts of Citadel City in a non-hostile manner. They meet workers gathering Ember Roses. The startled workers rapidly bind the limbs of the unresisting goblins. After some brief shouting on the humans' part, one of the goblins begins to speak up. His linguistic skills are sorely lacking, but he does know the Neo-Tyrgani language, to a degree. "Words of Glrk'nr we speak. Terms of War. We not danger. We speak to your leader. He listen?"

"Huh. I do believe they lack weapons," the apparent leader observed. He scratched his eyebrow and adjusted his eye patch (many ember rose gatherers had one). "We'll see what the General does with 'em, I suppose." The workers send an outrider to contact General Shi Shotan....

That's in-character, I suppose. Go for it, but I'll round your iron use up to keep fractions from being left over.

Sages are +25% research.

I'm leaving for home later than I thought, but the next turn should still be up sometime tomorrow.

Do I just add an extra labor to my research section then?
So it allows me to get six labor per turn for research?

Can an alchemist do anything other than run his Alchemist's Lab?

Completely unrelated:

The goblins propose "Terms of Better Fighting." Basically, for the battle to be fought for subjugation instead of destruction, with the loser in the conflict paying 20%-40% of their income to the victor each year, depending on how badly beaten the loser is. They also propose against permanent alteration of tiles while attacking (Plains to desert type things, or burning forests).

Naturally, everybody would be encouraged to join the agreement once contact is made, with allowances for them to altar the terms Anyone found to be breaking these rules should be immediately destroyed by all signing members. Any proposed changes?

N/B/C WMDs would be barred as well, if they existed.

In their exact words: "Glrk'nr wants 'Terms of Better Fighting.' Killing many no-weapon workers no fun. No profit. No point. Loser in war give much gold. You accept?"

Edit - Clause against burning farms removed. I didn't intend to put it there, but I accidentally snuck it in while my mind was wandering.

Zefies would reject most of the terms. They have little problem with seige warfare.

General Shi Shotan Malchithein smiled cruelly at the goblins. "Tell your leader we accept his challenge. Now begone."
