Is it to late to ask for the archers to be raised? I wasn't going to get them armor. Although it doesn't really matter, as I can raise them just as easily this turn.

Is there any rule against me building a second granary?
I'm having a fair bit of trouble deciding what to do this turn.

I have more questions. Sorry.
1) In regards to the watchtower, is the city radius all 19 tiles, or does it just help the city itself?
2) Am I allowed to make a second granary? Ideally I'd like to be able to store enough food to keep my city alive for more than one turn unsupported
3) Does a fortress help my urban sprawled tiles, or just the city center?

4) How do fortification bonuses stack?
     If we give defenders an arbitrary value of 100, would they get 100 *1.5 =150 *1.5=225 *1.1=247 (for having city walls, a fortress, and a watchtower) or would it be 100 + 100 * .5 + 100 *.5 + 100 * .1 = 210?

5) I have some questions about my soon to be established colonies as well, but they can wait (namely, do they have a seperate pop cap? Can I send people to my colonies ever turn?)

1) Of course. It'd be pretty crappy if it was just another fortress with 20% of the effect.
2) Most buildings you can't make more than one of, but a granary? Go for it.
3) No, just the city center.
4) Given that I haven't told you what any of the combat numbers actually do, I'm not sure what you would do with this information.

Civilizations with an appropriate technology can produce settler units by spending 5 labor, 5 food, and 5 wood. This also reduces the city's population by 5,000. Settlers move like military units, and can be expended to produce a colony or town, depending on the technology used.
Colonies take 10 money in startup costs, and represent relatively small settlements dependent on their parent city for most production. They grow slowly, and require steady upkeep costs (2 money a turn for starting colonies), but send resources back to their parent civilization based on their location. Colonies with little or no farmland may require steady food shipments, as well. Colonies have no ability to raise military units, and rely on their parent city for protection.
Towns are larger and more independent. Essentially a smaller city, the number of towns a civilization can have is sharply limited. Towns may have another player governing them. Towns always share money and technology with the rest of their civilization, but resource trading is at the discretion of the player or players involved. Migrants may be sent from cities to towns and back, as well.
