And so flofar continues to stand near the entrance to the new farming room arguing with the door. Although slightly bizzare the other dwarfs tends to be thankful he's not trying to stuff any one in cages, let the cats out of cages, or make the fort smell like fish. Who needs friends anyway when a whole world of inanimate objects are there to talk to, eh?

10th Moonstone, 13:

a menacing group approaches the incomplete walls of the fortress, green skinned brutes... and alot of them... a dwarf on guard duty, calls out, "ORCS!" as he scrambles down ,and hist the lever, to activate a heavy gate... to close... hopefully defenses would be adequate.

20th moonstone, 13:

The dwarves of the Sandcrystal had to barricade themselves, within the natural complex... the orcsw having slain the marksdwarf who spotted them... the two champions tore apart one of the 16 orcs... and now the only entrance has been barricaded with two hastily constructed siege-doors, since the orcs are smart enough to open regular doors, and thus present serious problems. The trap mechanisms did not trigger for some reason, a fluke perhaps... but the orcs now reside, in the entrance hall on the surface... another dwarf dead, Mathias.

awww poor mathias.....hmm yes another one will do. a swordsman. starting off as a wrestler. if u have another free wrestler than assign him to me. if not i can wait or assign some free guy to wrestling after the orcs r slain...hopefully.

7th Opal, 13:

several blood-curdling screams are heard after the seige doors are opened and then shut... orcs falling for a single line of weapon traps, sliceing and dicing them, but jamming up after so many, on all three... with several orcs still around... Kel still trapped op on a small ledge on the incomplete tower... getting hungry and thirsty, not to mention, needing some new clothes for certain with the orcs scaring him. Inside, the fortress, the wounded soldier Fath as made her weapon, a bone mace... still greatly injured, but satisfied... someone hears her calling for help, and takes her back to the barracks to rest.

Kel draws her last breath, still clutching her pickaxe, with back against a piece of walling... before dieing... having nothing to drink being cause of death... this would be found out, in time, by the other dwarves.

The siege is lifted, the orcs leave the fortress, having grown bored of the dwarves hiding away... alot is to be done, to recover and prepare for future sieges, as well as recovering the dead... the Dwarves stay strong, and move forward.

The dwarves of Sandcrystal finish up their dealings with the caravans that came to their depot, buying alot of wood, and food... no alcohol was brought to trade with, being a bit of an irk for the dwarves.

"Little has happened since Slate, when two caravans come... the humans, the racoons, the lizards, and the snakemen... trade comemnces quickly, while the siege door is worked on, as is the decorated second floor wall, made of pure green glass, allowing a fairly good view of surrounding territory, and will soon be engraved with openings to shoot bolts from.

"an ambush attacked us... and we lost two.. and one is injured heavily... They followed the caravan... and snuck inwards of our gate-tower... but thankfully, the goatmen and our dwarven brothers came to our aid, and killed the gobbos... there were alot of them using crossbows... our fortifications are almost done, just some work left to do.... our numbers are down to 30..."

"Nearing the end of the year now... and now we have another artefact... a battleaxe, a nice one! our weaponsmith made the fine blade... he was possessed by some ancient spirit... the axe is an od shape, mind you.,. it looks like a sharp circle, from the shaft, while in the core of the ring, is four images, in four corners... in Macaque bones, is dwarves travelling and founding Sandcrystal, while there is also a wooden image of the axe in towercap, while also duplicated in iron."
