How bad is the griefing in MP? Both games I was in so far involved me being the only anglophone and my teammate deliberately killing my units all the time.

Dynamic Campaign Generator for Men of War
http://www.moddb.com/mods/dynamic-campaign-generator-dcg/forum/thread/dynamic-campaign-generator-for-men-of-war-version-22

You get a few squads of infantry and maybe an AT gun and you must go up against enemy medium/light tanks and platoons of infantry.

I'm sorely tempted to try out the fuller version of this, but I'm frightened by the disturbing amount of micromanagement that is required.  I would never stand a chance in a multiplayer match.  Ever.  And even if I could, I wouldn't be having a good time while doing it.

I also hesitate because I don't think my machine could properly handle it.  I really do need an upgrade...

I seem to remember people talking about how shit flamethrower infantry are? One of mine just set the underbrush my entire squad was hiding in ablaze. Screw flamethrower infantry.

Also, whilst the guide found on the 1C forums about using the editor is useful, it's not detailed enough and is poorly translated, so not all of the instructions work. Is there a better guide out there somewhere?

They didn't make it. They just published it. But yes. I will need some glowing reviews before I even consider pirating it.

The game devs deserve you buying it you cheap son of a bitch.

He was banned about a year ago, he can't hear you.

Also no, no piracy discussions, bad Saint, bad.

I tend to run role playing games of sorts in this, with a few mods and buddys.

We try different stuff all the time, from one player being the "HQ" who gets points for competed objective and has to keep a certain area protected, while handing out parts of his army to the "commander" (the other players on his team) who do the objectives (Like taking out a arty post, ambushing a convoy, finding that sniper ace that keeps killing everyone...) that i setup.

Its pretty sweet and people all get there units that they prefer. We try to keep it low on arty and mass, instead going for class :3

Oh man, artillery is really shitting me. They automatically compensate for moving targets and shoot where they're going to be, not where they are, which means that it's impossible to get tanks near them, because they don't maneuver fast enough.

This is turning into 'That One Mission". It's, I think, the last one for the second set of missions in Red Tide. Just so you know.

DCG was fun for a while, but in all honesty .. it's just crap. Not the creator's fault, really. Look what he had to work with ;)
At least the expansion will have a skirmish mode! That's exactly what I've been waiting for. Hopefully they don't mess it up.

Is there any news on the expansion? Or has it been cancelled and shattered all my dreams of a proper Men of War coop mode (that doesn't include linear missions with 4 infantrymen taking on a company of Tigers)?

Edit: Never you mind.

http://www.digitalmindsoft.eu/games/men-of-war-assault-squad.html

"Innovative new features such as a completely new cooperative skirmish gamemode as well as increased realism and accessibility will deliver fans and newcomers an intense new WW2 spectacle unseen in quality up until now."

"The ability to play this impressive gamemode with up to 4 friends in LAN or cooperative online play"

YEAH.

Release date TBA, though.

If you have 4 players playing COOP on the skirmish mode you can play the super hard difficulty.

There isn't much info on the vietnam one as far as I know. It's made by the same guys that made Red Tide I think.

I'm enjoying Red Tide. Pretty weak on the story though. Which is cool, that's not exactly why I play the game.

I'm stuck on the second mission of the tutorial.  I'm not afraid to admit that.  The first mission, securing and repairing the tank to blow up a convoy, was cool, and told me what to expect of the game.  That I would be commanding no more than a dozen men at a time, and that that would be a good thing, because the soldiers are retarded about avoiding or returning fire, all have their own inventory screen that require constant management, and the vehicles are really finicky to position.

Then comes the second mission, where I have like sixty guys and a dozen vehicles for a "defend the base" command.  What the fuck am I supposed to do with all these schoolchildren?
