LETS TRY ON

It's-  it's so beautiful TT_TT
*paraphrased* "Was... was there a point to that?"

"... no."

You could just kinda' feel the politeness warring with incredulity after they won. Entire stadium just going, "What is this shit. Awww, crap. We have to clap." Can just imagine something along the ceiling rapidly blinking "APPLAUSE" and then the shills in the audience remember what they're paid for :P

... also, that interview. Yuuma. Yuuuuumaaaaa. Eyes are up there. And hey, surprise sibling. Where'd that come from?

---

Oh gods. That headshot. *dakkadakkadakka-boom-slow tilt* That needs to be a .gif.

Ninja team got chumped. Which is a shame, they were kinda' awesome in their few seconds of existence. And hey, nameless was actually pretty awesome. Shame he got plot-shanked by the little sister. Woulda' been nice to see 'im get at least one win in...

I kinda want Minato to have his own show now. He's shown himself to be capable of being a total bro, has enough flaws to be interesting, has the proper hot blooded spirit, and FREAKING TRYON 3. And the guy and his team are having fun, and are basically perfectly encapsulating the lessons of season 1.

... if we were going for stuff like that, I'd want a side story telling the tale of that MS that got headshot.

It'd be nice to see how a grunt mech pilot makes it to national level to begin with, y'know? Plus it could be the most amazingly troll ending scene, ha.

Mikan Seijin full series

Oh, and I might check out the new series Yuri Kuma Arashi now that someone pointed out it's title means "Lesbian Bear Storm".

I started watching an anime called "No game No Life".  The first episode wasn't bad, but the second episode was so nauseatingly dumb I'm not sure I want to keep watching.  Anybody happen to know if it stays stupid so I know whether or not to switch to something else now?

I'd tell you to keep watching if only for episode 6, in which

Shiritori is Serious Business.

You don't have to if you don't want to, though.

... Instead, why don't you watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun if you haven't? Definitely one of, if not the best shows of this summer.

Prepare yourself. The man behind this project is not one to be taken likely.

I'd tell you to keep watching if only for episode 6, in which our good Blank, while falling towards the now-exposed core of the earth, defeat a warrior angel by using the breakdown of theoretical physics to create a hypernova which engulfs said angel moments prior to their death.

I started watching an anime called "No game No Life"
I can't take two steps without someone telling me to watch no-game-no-life/
which is more than just an accurate summarization of my sex life/

It's a shit show/
For shit dudes/
With shit taste/
Who hate boobs/
So fuck you.
...that's not true/
I'm sorry/
It's ok so far/ (I'm like 6 episodes in)
But it's certainly not anything substantial enough to raise the bar/

We're content with "ok," and it'll never go away so long as we support the poison of the industry/

He's right, you know. The days of thought-out characters and settings are next-to gone. Animation has become stagnant, and single moments of quality become the standard for a decent series. The night of decay may already be over us.

I hope that when the sun rises once again, the artform is reborn. Stronger and greater.

But until then, YO, LET'S PARTY WITH WHAT WE GOT!

There's always good material and bad material being produced though. Movies, anime, music, literature, whatever. There's always the good stuff, and the trash you have to sift through to find the good stuff. The good stuff gets remembered and the bad stuff forgotten, so that looking back it seems like everything being produced in the past was great and that modern material quality is stagnating in comparison.

The thing is, though, is that there's just so much shit out there, and nothing that's really creative gets any support. Hell, we were just talking about how Maoyuu Mao Yuusha, an anime about fantasy politics and economics, has been canceled. And yet, when I look at the current slate of anime this season, I can see plenty of uninspired fantasy anime, shitty rom-coms, and sequels to series that should have ended a long time ago (and Kancoll, apparently). There's no imagination in anime anymore, nor is there quality. It's all just unexpressive dull bland bleeegh as far as the eye can see, and it's because the otaku culture supports that kind of drivel.
