Also, Maze: The Megaburst Space is turning out to be very very good. It's very easy to watch episode after episode, and it's a good combination of silly and serious that makes the show fun to watch.

Say, anyone here read Goodnight Punpun?

I thought it would be a lighthearted comedy, but then I had never read any of Inio Asano's works before.

Holy fuck, I never thought anything could be so heartbreaking.

Well I am back to being Animeless... At least until people notice the rest of Live On is gone. Also I am surprised Live On was over 50 episodes, I thought it would be around 30... I mean he almost won the main tournament already.

Maybe I should just do some reviews of animes I just watched or somehow to the rifftax thing suggested earlier. Hmmmmmmmm...

I can only think of one.

Anyhow truthfully I am hesitant to take animes from others because of the extreme popularity of gore fest animes.

On a whim, I watched the first episode of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas.

My god, this is so rushed. They could/should have strung it out over 2 (or maybe more) episodes. It's just thing after thing after thing, with subtlety taking a very back seat. This seat is also on fire, and hurtling over the horizon, with Subtlety screaming for the sweet release of death.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

I've been watching El Cazador de la Bruja, and I have never seen a show that has relied more on coincidence.

Within the first five minutes we're in a bar in Mexico with two (seemingly) main characters who are probably pursuing the protagonist. But not only that, there are two groups of bounty hunters who are also pursuing the same protagonist. And later on the two groups fight over the bounty, so either they're completely oblivious that they're all hunting the same mark or card games are far too important to interrupt, even if it would save you some trouble.

It's also apparently the easiest thing it the world to find someone who's hiding in what looks to be a city of at least decent size. All you need is a scene cut and bam, found, with no indication as to how. I understand they've got a limited amount of time but they could have at least included a throwaway explanation. It really breaks suspension of disbelief.

And the entire plot of the second episode hinges on a series of increasingly unlikely coincidences. I am afraid that it will only continue to get worse.

You don't use freedom Penguin. First you demand it, then you have it.
No using. That's not what freedom is for.

Finally started reading Berserk again, time to start volume 13.
I just know it's going to take me a long time to finish this series (or catch up to where it's currently at), but I like it.

I found out yesterday the author for Hoshi no Samidare released a bonus chapter after the ending.

Score!

EDIT:
If you have a love for Baccano! then this will probably interest you.  Spore has an artbook of Baccano! that was released in early 2010 that he fully scanned and put on mediafire.  Check it out!

Spoiler: Grell Sutcliffe (click to show/hide)

I must say I'm not usally fond of comic relief and homosexual references in animes.
But Grell ist simply adorkable...

Sadly, I'm having problems finding the 12+ episodes of Black Butler  :(

Wait, that's from Black Butler?

Oh my goodness, I have to go read that now.
