So I guess I should mention I've been watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya for about three days now and I'm on episode eight. Not actually a bad show at all. I like it, but I can see where it gets the hate from. My most recent one was the baseball episode and that was pretty hilarious. It reminds me of the Angel Beats! baseball episode actually. What's with Japan and baseball?!
I can also understand why some might hate the show, but one must understand that the characterizations are pretty good. Haruhi truly does what she wants, and there's little to stop her. I really want to read the novels, though.
Try the spin offs. They're awesome, nyoro~n.
So, I'm getting slightly bored and I'm trying to find something to watch over the weekend. Any suggestions? Preferably no long runner (30 episodes or less, definitely no more than 50).
Ichiban... something something.
Demon Lord in the Back Row I think is the translation of the show. Not many episodes, silly but interesting plot. Like most animes, the girls often find themselves lacking proper environmental protection, so that might be a killing point.
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka is another short one that's similar (I'm not sure if it's ended or not though, haven't had the time except to watch 5 episodes).
Spiral is more of a mystery/teenagers are involved in a stange plot sort of anime. I'm not sure how few episodes they are, but it's a pretty good series. Maybe
Ergo Proxy if you haven't seen it? Definitely FLCL if it's escaped your notice thus far.
You may have already said you've seen some of these, but I'm on pretty crappy internet right now so I can't go back to look without it taking me ages.
