It occurs to me that I agree, build a wall is far to simple...

Build a 10-z-story wall around the fortress, that is another matter.

Obsidianing over the Chasm then filling it with magma and/or filling in the chasm also sounds megaprojecty.

Impossibly megaprojectly.
Like, literally impossible. The magma would disappear into the chasm before you got to water it. You could manually cap off the very bottom, and then alternately pour magma and water in till you get to the top, I guess.

Who are we waiting on? Is it me?

Low FPS

I've got a little written, but I'm still stuck on Granite and the world seems intent on taking my time. I lost quite a bit today and will lose even more tomorrow. Er, time that is, not the game. Hopefully.

The FPS is a bit crunching. Any reason why? I know we're up to eighty dwarves, but I didn't see too many stray animals about and I killed a lot of them for food.

-2nd Granite

There's a wide open hallway into the fortress from the brook. I'd complain, but it's just about, if not more, defensible than our main entrance.

And now Dresdor is throing a tantrum. After all, he lover just went up in flames because of the most recent madman's attempts to kill us all.

Also, Dresdor picked a fight with Zuglar, the mayor if you'll recall. She really has been having it rough, hasn't she?

I'd kill her but that'd just cause more tantrums, what with the general mood in here. Also, the magma flood of fiery death has been prevented by a single pillar erected in front of it's flood.

Also, the fool who destroyed our defensive wall also ordered all our stones dumped into the river! Not only does this waste huge amounts of valuable manpower, it's also patently ludicrous.

Then he orders all our food to be dumped too! Madmen, all of them! It's fortunate I managed to stop that, too, eh?



-3rd Granite

So much to do! Now Dresdor went and destroyed the entrance bridge, causing one of our way too many siege operators to fall to his/her death. Meh, I wouldn't midn if it didn't create even more misery amongst our ranks.

I hope whoever orchestrated this gets his just comeuppance.

Been busy managing the cleanup. Then the elves come.

ELVES.

The single worst thing about spring. Mind you, we can always use some more wood and exotic animals. So they bring us cloth. Bins upon bins of cloth!

Iden decided to take a break. I don't blame him.

This fortress is truly blessed by Giken Yelledgorge. AUGH!

Also one of our ARTIFACTS was STOLEN. By a KOBOLD.



Tomorrow should give me plenty of time to play even if I didn't get that much today :3

Hahaha... The magma is gone. It's going going going down the drain just like this fucking fortress and all it's fucking madmen and I don't care anymore what's the point if we're all going to go mad anyway so why did we do this well it was some stupid disagreement so everybody and their grandma went and tried to build a fortress with their own fucking secret projects and everybody ends up in a huge global clusterfuck because everybody is paranoid and out to get each oter and more importantly THEY'RE OUT TO GET ME!

Also, we got about two dozen logs for a pretty bronze crown before the baroness arrived. Fucking stupid elves.
