and not to sound all high and mighty but there were no such creature as silver geckos.... at least according to my reference site and my memory... its been two years since i played F1 and one since i played and gave up F2 due to a major bug (i pirated it and it was broken) and the fact that i read the walkthrough.

"It's de silver ones y'wanna watch out for. Dey go through your leg like an old pipe stem."

Silver geckos were very much a part of Fallout 2. I'm playing it as we speak and looking at one right now.

Can't believe nobod called me out on my mustake. It's actually Golden Geckos, or 'Goldens'. Silver ones exist though.

i thought it sounded wrong, but i figured it was because its been too long since ive played it....

I still say that there are no such things as silver geckos. just fire, gold and normal.

show me a screenshot of a silver.... or a gif or whatever. but ive no recollection of a silver



but hey, no biggie if they stay included, just as long as they arent like all crazy strong like some old skool elephants we all know and love.....

Actually, I think normal ones are silver.

Wait, looked it up, confirmed. Normal Geckos are in fact colored silver and known as 'silver geckos'.

well.... i was mostly right....sort of....lol ;D

but anyway.... i still need to dl this....

i assume there is a step by step instruction manual thingie that tells me where to put things and stuff for mods like this right? and if ya could link me to it that would be great......

Nope! It includes DF in the installer, so all you need to do is choose where you want it!

If you're interested I just finished merging the Fallout mod with the Linux version of 40d15. I could email it over to you if you would like to distribute it unless of course there is already a Linux version of it and I just managed to miss it (I did search).

Interestingly enough, this is probably the only game where my fort doen't horribly end after the second or third year.
My only problems at the moment are trying to find some more stone and getting some metal.
So far I've weathered a seige against the enclave using, no joke, wooden rifles.
Save for my one marksman with a steel sniper.
The joys of new metal.

Could you upload that to megaupload.com or something, running this in wine is kinda clunky.
