What's wrong with that?
Tiles (and therefore doors) are of infinite size anyway 0:

Try to imagine that existing in the real world... things are infinite yet finite at the same time...

The universe itself is finite whilst also infinite. Therefore, each tile is obviously a miniature universe, and they are connected via wormholes or somesuch..

Only in DF...  :D

If software was real world, then it'd be something equivalent of hitting a nail with a hammer and having a building collapse on the other side of town.

Don't worry people, sometimes -moments occur

Could you post another map of your fortress to the archive, mayday? I'm getting pretty good at this game, but I still don't know most of the architectural tricks of the trade, and I know your fortress is just filled with random technological wonders. Think you could put up another map for me to study?

Actually, no.  They do it for sport, not food.

I could probably do that, but the problem would be that you would know which lever to pull for certain traps.

But a puzzling poem for every trap would be more interesting.
I'm going to tell you how to get to the end. I just don't want it on a big map.
