Possibly the little dining room located most remotely from the fortress proper, where the catapult operators used to eat whilst firing against the old hordes.
That was a long time ago now.

Captain's Log. 17th of Slate.
To my surprise the Baron's son Gostang has crafted a metallic idol he dubbed 'Peacefulaces'. It makes great use of some of the more expensive items of the fortress, and goes so far as to have an image of diamonds in wolf bone.

Quite typical of a Noble's son, really.

Captain's Log. 20th of Hematite.
The goblins have been a bit of a scourge lately. They had the gall to attack the human traders (Adalore was waiting for them), and have made assault upon some of the fortress cats who wandered beyond the walls (much to Zangief, Baron Lorn's, and the boy Atir's sorrow, I'm sure. Personally I'm glad to be rid of them.)

In any case, Viktoria, Kast and Moogel killed all the goblins, resulting in the further accumulation of goblin junk outside our walls.
I'm serious when I say that their bones are more common than open ground.

I kept reading this thread from 10 to 19 (gmt+1) unable to make a break longer than 15 mins cuz i was such fascinated.
You are a really nice storyteller!
The way you assimillate some of the weird issues and bugs in the game, such as the nobles requests, and put it seamlessly into the story is quite humorous.
Although I laughed more at Boatsmurdered this is definitly worth to be mentioned in the same sentence.  ;)

Its probably a bit late but I would be glad to partitipate.
Am I right that some of the children of the former baron are still alive?
If yes name a male one (i dont care who exactly, at least I want to be a part of Nist Akath) "Zod Bunnysized" (forgot what's this in dwarfish, but i got an Adventurer exactly like that) and assign him only to building designing. He is a crazy architect with an affectation for supports and pillars. He builds them everywhere where it is possible and allowed, amd not allowed too if possible  ;).
Furthermore he really loves encrusting stuff with bones, and shows weird dwarventrophic behavior all day, having only eyes for his wonderfull architecture.

I dont understand why you all want the end of this wonderfull Fortress?
There is so much stuff with potentially humorous content do and build?
May the end of Nist Akath be in the far far away future!

Every story needs an ending, though it's true that need not be the death of the fortress.  Regardless, it would make an appropriate stopping point; cataclysm makes for a nice climax.

I started from the beginning and read this entire topic over the course of the past few days, and I must say it is amazingly awesome.

I'm sure how you've decided it should all end won't disappoint in the slightest, Cap'n, and I look forward to it, but far in the future after it's had more time to continue to be fabulous, of course.

Because I don't want my traders brutally eviscerated on my traps, I haven't updated to the new version. Look forward to it in the next day or so, though, with the new new release.

Yes, but they're all girls. I do still have some other dwarves, but there really is nowhere with room to build in, anymore. The giant tasks have been completed, and now it's just wall building for the inner wall. Would you like someone else? There's really a number to choose from, so I can accommodate.
A Master Mason, perhaps? I have a male of those.

It's nearly 30 years game time, however. The thing is, even if the army arc is completed before this is done, the warriors of Nist Akath are so far beyond all I've ever seen before that they could crush all the goblins, and kobolds, in the world. And Elves. And Megabeasts. And purge the undead from existence.

What about all the giant cave spiders in existence? Have you tried Dwarf Companion-ing sixteen or seventeen of those onto a battlefield?

DC can't create creatures, no modify their bodies.
It can change all other tags, but not body parts. I would be able to make a load of spider-men with... giant cave spider attributes... hm.
