ok, I get it now. oh well. I'll have to use your older maps, then.

It would be cool if they could update the map uploader to let you black out areas that you don't want people seeing   :p

You could draw a crude map for us too... perhaps just the areas the merchants or liasons would have seen, with arrows pointing off towards different areas, with notes on what the dwarves might have mentioned off down that corridor/down those stairs/on the other side of that there maze etc.. I don't see that spoiling anything.

How would that tell us which lever to pull? Have you not made any of the fake, trap levers yet?

In some it would be obvious, though obviously not for all. I've taken preventative measures to prevent destruction of some of it, thereby tipping you off.

Captain's Log. 2nd of Opal.
It must be something in the Fairsabres blood that does it.
Yet another of their children, the girl Kubuk, has claimed a workshop and begun stealing various supplies.

Captain's Log. 3rd of Opal.
Busy week, this one. Full of bizarre occurrences.
On the more annoying front, I've posted all the military outside the fortress, guarding the gates. We had a goblin incident last month where they launched a surprise attack on a gate.

Unfortunately for them the gate was well trapped and they were all horribly killed.

Regardless of their ill fortune, the military have been milling around doing not-much-at-all. Other than annoying the local populace, and they seem to have gotten up Nosey's... nose. Hm.

In other news, the Baron came to see me.
He had a request for his tomb. A 'little bit of furniture' he called it.
Naturally my immediate expectation would be for a chest or something. That would be sane, after all.
The 'word' sane should have immediately tipped me off that it was going to be unusual.

He asked for a bed. As in, the sort you may sleep in.
I asked him why, and he thought that since he had to spend all of time down there, after the inevitable happened, he might get tired sometimes and need a nap.

I could not dissuade him that it would be unnecessary, and am quite grateful we have a few extras laying around.
Still damn weird, though.

We're also nearly done with the shrine on the surface, overlooked by the fort.
I'm quite pleased with it, as it is made from gold and platinum. Very expensive.
And part of a very deadly trap!

only in Nist Akath

the captain only appreciates beauty when it also is part of something that can kill goblins

Captain's Log. 13th of Obsidian.
Kubuk is done with her work, finally. It's a harp made of turtle shell!
She's called it 'Budrusts the Insight of Responsibilities."
It's quite lovely, with an image of goblins and dwarves fighting under half moons. There's also an image of a table. I don't know why.

Captain's Log. 13th of Granite.
My goodness, today was a bit of a mess.
The Elves arrived, and as they were entering our gate, were set upon by goblins.

Unfortunately for them this meant they ambushed them on top of our traps. Minus one goblin.

The traps at our gate were guarded by Eden and Adalore's elite squads.
Minus four goblins.

Unfortunately the loss of a single elven merchant caused them to turn back. Cowards.

It would have been safer for them to come in...

Well, if she's a Fairsabre then  that table can only represent one thing:

Where SHE was conceived.

Now that has me interested. I doubt you have a table in your room... so where in the fortress was this going on? Dining Hall? Dining Room? Someone's office???
