"The Baron is very... disapponted with you."
"I'll pay, I promise! I just need some time!"
"Let me think... no."

*Swish!* *Swish!* And the poor victim is filled with crossbow bolts.
The dwarves leave the room, letting the fortress guard clean up the mess.
Yet again, not a single clue. The Baron is very tidy.

*Cough* Anyways, it would seem, Mayday, that you haven't answered my question about the number of dead goblins yet.

That's a lot of counting. I could probably do it, but it has the unfortunate side effect of pausing the game when I could otherwise be playing it.

Edit: I lost count somewhere around 600 but it's somewhere close to 900+

i can image the legends screen:
Gobby mcgoblin died at the hands of Nagash II
Gobby goblinmc died at the hands of Caption Ironblood
Look, every armokdamned goblin that ever lived died at Nist Akath.

Loading up Captain Ironblood's legends page would probably take ages.

You think that'll be slow?  Imagine loading up the Nist Akath site entry.

Nahhh The Goblins are cousins of Lord Lorn.

I thougt over the no immigrants problem and i belive your world has reached the Maxnumber of Dwarfes from the entity_default file (MAX_POP_NUMBER - normaly at 500).

If the entity max pop screws up fortress immigration, somebody ought to post a bug report as it's probably unintended.

Hmm.  You don't suppose you could increase immigration and cause all sorts of other wackiness by adding LIKES_SITE:PLAYER_FORTRESS to all entities, do you?

Oh it was just a thought because i play with less civs but a little bit higher (ok 500 Kobolds) max pop and i dont have a prob with the Immigration until now.

And i think the maxpop variable is used to prefent overpopulation in your Fort and te whole world to keep DF playable because there are craptons of Data you have to track etc.

So, some 900+ dead goblins.

Nice.

I guess ressing them all is out of the question, unless you can steal one of the computers from NASA.

Make that two.

My position still stands that the other dwarves have no idea how to have sex. There needs to be some way to tell some dwarves to get married and pump out dwarven bastard children for the good of the fortress, and edit the file so that they grow to maturity in a year or two.

I dunno, it seems more likely that the Baron would have the unfortunate dwarf fitted for +andesite shoes+ and sent to "sleep with the carps."

Alternatively:

"'Gino the Butcher' Okolfeb has been nervous lately.  He awoke to find a hoary marmot's head in his own fine bed lately..."

Nah, he would find a kitten's head in his bed. In the movie, the head belonged to his favourite horse.

Hmm...imagine if a dwarf had an elephant, imagine waking up to the severed head of THAT in the morning and wondering how the hell they got it in your bed without waking you up, and even fitting it through the door.

What if they messed up and were banging the tusks around trying to turn it and get it through the door, and you woke up and were like 'wtf are you guys doing?'

The words 'awkward moment' come to mind.
