One man's "cursed artifact from a forsaken tomb" is another man's "fun times with Willy!" To the storeroom!

You turn up an old helmet, and a big old rusty spear.  You think you can find some other sticks and the two of you can have a spearfight, which should be fun.

When willis arrives, he does have something neat.  He learned how to build rafts!  But he's game for some spearfighting first, there's only the question of where to go..

On the road, so you can be a bandit and a caravan guard?

In the field, so you can be generals?

In the village, so you can try and chase down the robber?

Or maybe somewhere else?

The two of you head off into the woods.  After about an hour productively splashing around the duck pond, it's time to get down to the more critical matter.  There are two kids and only one spear.  So..

Which one of you gets the spear, and which one has to get another stick weapon?  And what kind of stick weapon do you want to make for yourself, if Willis gets the spear?

(Please answer both, even if you're adamant in getting the spear.)

Obviously, we get the spear. If Willis somehow gets his grubby fingers on it, we'll make a pike and exploit our superior range.

As you are the stronger of the two of you, you naturally will take the heavy spear.  Willis gets the helmet, and the game you two decide on is that you must bonk Willis in the head with the spear before he can get you in the torso.  To that end, he ends up taking two shortish branches like tonfas, and tries to rely on getting in close to hit you in the chest and body.

The two of you run around the forest, with Willis's wilyness leading to him winning a few rounds, particularly when he climbs trees and can get in close.  You certainly win your own share with your speed and reach.  Those tonfas do make a clear difference, as otherwise you could grab him when he got in close and then it'd be all over.

So, for a few hours you go sparring, in clearings, in the thick of the brush, on top of rocks, beside the cliff, and over and across the stream.  Eventually the two of you get tired and thirsty, ready to get a drink and do something new.  But where do you drink?

From the creek.  You've been told you could get sick from drinking from it, but you never have gotten sick from it before, and it's right here and cool.

From the village well.  It's a good ways away, and the day is hot, so you might have to wait your turn.  And the tattered state of your green tunic might get the two of you a scolding from the adults.

From the hunters' house.  It's a lot closer than the well, but you've been warned by the hunters to not bother them.  Still, on a day like today, they're probably past the ravine out hunting or trapping, and shouldn't be at home.  And it's just rainwater anyway, nobody owns rainwater.

From the village inn.  The inkeeper likes the two of you and your antics, and might have some cider for you.  It's possible there might even be travellers there.  But his tavern is all the way down by the road, and you aren't sure if even cider is worth walking that far.
