[17] You take cover further in the hallway, away from the hole you carved into the creature. Away from the clicking. A small, sinuous insect on long legs clicks its mandibles together, a human's face twisted into its gray flesh.

[18 vs 1] [15] You burn it away, and it screeches in pain as you continue down the tight, organic, gray hallway, trying not to think too hard about your situation. When you're safe from any stray las-fire shots that might come in through the hole you made; you lift your mask, shoveling food into your face, and then finish it with an injection of ballistic.

[7+1 vs 3][9+1 vs 14][13+1 vs 5]Small, skittering insects of red begin to swarm, approaching you with stingers of red hot plasma flashing at their tips. You lash out, burning away a few of them-- only for one to jump upon you, slamming its stinger into your already weakened side. You scream as your flesh burns and parts beneath the 'stringer. You bring your elbow down with a sickening crunch of bug-flesh, and then stomp it for good measure. You pull out the heated stinger with your gloved hands -- breathing hard as your system numbs itself and tossing the blood-soaked piece of metal down.

One of the reactors is downward, somewhere, and you note, with a focus of your awareness, that it is one of three. Too much flesh lies between you and it for you to reach out with your willpower and Overload it.

Use the Cutter to carve out a path towards the first reactor.

Guh, more cohesion damage. We may have to take a week off when this is over, for recovery... wouldn't that be nice.

Anyway. If we're taking this shortcut, we're doing it properly.
Heal. Inferno. If the air's water is insufficient, draw from the oozing walls. We're carving our way down in style.

It may require fewer calories to attempt to cauterize the wound with the Cutter, as well as use the Cutter to create a path.

+1 to the Cutter path

You deliberate as yet another clicking sound begins to draw near -- the Cutter will take longer, but the Inferno will require more calories.

We don't have time for this.

Inferno. Get a good stiff whirl going, lash out as we carve at anything that draws nigh.

Hmm.  I'm not sure what would be better.

Well, how many critters seem to be the source of the clicking? We might be able to neutralize them first, and then use the cutter at our leisure, saving our calories.

Also, what is the blast radius from overloading the reactor likely to be? We need to make sure it's smaller than the smallest distance we can reliably Overload from.

Try the cutter first.  If it doesn't work out, I would be fine with switching to inferno.

Many horrors approach within the dark -- this vessel is full of them.

[1+1 vs 17] You begin the process of cutting into the flesh, taking your time to form a square with the cutter blade -- a pair of mandibles lash out from the darkness in a sudden burst of speed, crunching around your left shin. Your armor shatters in the creature's jaws.

[12+1 vs 5] You boot meets its face hard, smashing its buggy gray brains all over the floor as a human face on its shoulder mouths gibberish, staring at you with all too human eyes. You swallow beneath the mask.

[7+1] The fires don't come, and you begin to breathe hard as panic rises up within you. The corridor is too tight and the chittering horrors in the dark are too close. Your vision blurs behind the mask -- It's starting to feel like a nightmare. This is all starting to feel like a nightmare.

[20] Your let your Inferno loose, ripping through a great portion of the inside of the Leviathan. It screams in pain, a great echoing sound pouring through it as you steady a nimbus and begin to burn away flesh to make your way down toward the reactor. You fall into the chamber surrounding the reactor-- an organic structure made of blue-gray bone, membranes of flesh between the spokes radiating upward. Another corridor leads out--

--and for the moment, there is silence in the pitch-black darkness that lingers on the edge of your vision.

You must not fear.  Fear is the mind-killer.  Let the fear wash over you and through you, and when it is gone there will be nothing.  Only you will remain.

We need to overload the reactor and direct the blast, just like a lasgun.  Direct it towards the last reactor, two for one or at least cut a large enough hole in it to rush to the area.  Hopefully we have enough practice we wont need to force too much of the equation and to blast it away from us mostly.

Chant whatever it takes to focus the mind.

Attempt to destructively overload the nearest reactor and funnel the resulting blast towards either of the two other reactors.  If the other reactors are in unknown locations, instead funnel the blast to strike as much of the plague ship as possible.
