"Approach the plague ship and begin evasive manuevers.  I will attempt to overload its fusion reactors to disable the engine while you engage it."

Approach the plague ship once the distraction is in place and attempt to destructively overload one of the reactors.

Arter overloading one, repeat this process on others, until the plague ship falls

Run our intentions by Alphira, quickly. This is one of those times I really want an extra voice beside us, to tell us "no wait stop" if need be.

Aren't we Alphira?

Are you referring to Lucille?

Either way, I have a lot to catch up on.

Alphira is the "angel" name we chose for ourselves, but it comes from a personality that lives inside Phoebe that is also named Alphira.

[6] This battle will be hard -- and not over as quickly as you think. These pilots will certainly die. You might die. Send the scout vessel and one other back to start the evacuation of the Holy City. Inform SEED of its possible demise. Pray to the Endless Empress to grant us her gifts. Strength of will, in the face of our death. Victory, even if we shall fall here. Glory, in our success.

Alphira, the scourge of planets, Angel of Fire, daughter of the Empyreal King of Pirates -- she's afraid.

[20] SEED must not be captured. Tell them that, make sure they know. The data and machines it possesses can bring the Plague back to full strength. The Empyre will be ravaged once again, and trillions of lives lost as result.

Do you wish to proceed?

"Send the scout ship and one other ship back to the Holy City and begin an evacuation.  Rouse William and Emma Thornton and tell them to prepare for battle against a flying plague leviathan.  Know this: if SEED is corrupted by the plague, all worlds will burn."

"All other vessels: approach and begin evasive manuevers."

Proceed.

Atmospheric metal.
Atmospheric non-metal.

[15] ["Ye-yes Mother Alphira."] There's a brief discussion. To your satisfaction and amusement, they're arguing over who gets to stay, as opposed to who gets to leave. Even the pilots of the scout ship want to fight and do what they can, but the Commander overrules them. Number Six and the Scout finish their turn, heading east.

[11] You twist a nimbus of fire around you as the hover crafts engage the Levithan's Escort. It turns, great cannons lashing into the sky. Energy splashes into the air sending shockwaves rattling through your bones. You join them, drawing your cutter, amplifying the fire within, until it burns brighter than the sinking sun.

[20 vs. 1+4] Your first strike rips through two of the plague craft that were flying too close to one another, sending them spiraling in a ball of fire. You continue your approach, a comet in the sky. More of the Levithan's shots ring out, but they miss, burning out into the atmosphere above.

[12 vs. 8+4] The pilots are doing as well as expected. Three remain, however, destroying man of the escort with lancing autocannon strikes that shred the infected vehicles with explosives. The fourth of the Crusader attack craft is burning toward the earth.

[15 vs. 3+4] You lash out with your willpower, sending the Infected to their death as you gracefully dodge las-gun blasts. You inch closer to the Levithan.

[11 vs. 10+4] The shockwave of an allied vessel feeds into the turbulence as its shot down -- two remain, all autocannons firing until the barrels glow red. Explosive shells and the associated burning cordite smell fill the air. The flak burns through the air all around, sometimes striking one of the Infected ships.

The Levithan's cannons ring out once more, striking where you were- not where you are.

[9 vs. 17+4] ["Mother Alphira-- forgive us!"] The radio screams out as another of your allies is devoured by las-gun fire, ripping apart in the sky into a ball of burning shrapnel. You're so close, so close!

[14 vs. 10+4] You burn through another set of Infected Hover Craft -- las-gun fire rips through your shield from behind, shooting through your wings and narrowly missing your body. An explosion propels you forward-- the last Hovercraft, number three, explodes in the middle of the Infected Hovercraft, destroying the grouping that shot at you.

[18 vs. 4] The Levithan's cannons roar, blasting through the air and the tight grouping of Infected craft. It misses you, and you come to approach it-- willing yourself forward. You try and feel the reactors within-- there's many, and they're too far away for you to do anything. You hover for a split second, uncertain.

[19]We're a pirate Patches. I'll show you what that cutter blade is for! You fly forward as fast as your agility will alow, dropping down on the top of the Levithan's plated armor. You extend your cutter to its full length, letting the fires blaze forward as you stab it into the organism below you-- the wind whips at you-- and you flinch as your armor cracks on the leg, on the shoulder, on the side of your chest.

[18] You, however, do not falter, carving at the plated flesh of this creature, and with a final sizzle, you rip it open, revealing a cramped, organic passageway within -- you drop down as more las-gun fire tries to scour you off of the Levithan. The sound of clicking emerges from the hallway behind you.

Inject some ballistic.  If not immediately attacked, eat quickly.

...

...well done, young godling. Well done!
Now for the love of all, keep your wits and your will close about you. We've grand and grisly work ahead.

We're not safe here, too much las-fire. Quick now, into the hallway with a gout of fire-- we'll make our own cover.

This and then inject some ballistic.  Worst-case scenario, we've built up a tolerance and nothing happens.
