The first perception you experience as you Soul boots for the first time is that of stale fluid surrounding you, and beyond that a weak sphere of material. You strike the material with your forelegs and tear it open, and the fluid immediately begins to flow out. You shove your head through the opening and crawl out of the egg.
You find yourself standing on the underside of a leaf, your feet digging easily into the soft metal making up the plant.

Feeling hungry, you scan your surroundings for any other creatures. Not picking up anything other than more vegetation like the leaf you're clinging to.

After a short while searching, you find a creature chewing on a leaf similar to the one that you started on. The creature's hide is patterned similarly to the solar collectors covering the leaf's upper side, but your ADV. LIGHT SENSORS pick it up no problem and provide you a readout on the creature's status.

I want to keep as much of this simple droid intact as possible - Presumably we have the ability to analyze its components, such as the Material Converter and Storage. I'm guessing the Converter flips Material to Blood on command, and Storage will be useful for our future Drones of the hive.

Lets attack from the air.

Hovering in place, you allow some of your stored blood to leech out and suffuse your frame. The componant readilly takes up the blood and you feel a warmth in your hide, but you gain no immediate binefit.

You bring your focus back to the grob, manuvering in the air to bring your gun to bear on it.

You perform a graceful swoop, line up for the attack, and open fire, hoping to take out the grob's Mind unit before it can react. Unfortunately you're unprepared for the recoil on your machinegun and end up spraying bullets wildly. Your attempts to counter the recoil cause an error feeding the cartridges and the gun jams. Sensors indicate that you failed to deal any damage.

The grob makes a distressed buzz and inches towards the stem of the plant. Unfortunately for it, you're much faster than it is.
