You decide to meet this attempt at overthrowing your dynasty's rule head-on, emerge victorious or die trying!
Congratulations! King Matin is now fighting against usurpation of his rule!
If he loses, it's game over!
Not leaving this treacherous Count Telleo much time to prepare, you gather your forces and march northwards.

It seems that the rebels have not planned for your rapid deployment of troops and the trip to their homelands, for your army have downed several armed groups of patrolling men and horse-riding scouts with ease. This allowed your five thousand of men to reach Telleo's domain fast and in organized way.
Your own men have gotten enough time to make a composite report on Telleo's forces. They number approximately eight thousand five hundred, but of that only about two thousand are well-paid and armed soldiers and captains. The rest is peasant folk, pressed into the fighting with promises of liberation, peace and prosperity if they get Telleo upon Kastorian throne. All they have is their clothes, mayhaps some leather, and they wield clubs, hatchets, bows, pitchforks and sickles.
That's still over six thousand rabble on top of two thousand soldiers that you will be dealing with. The numbers are still against you.
Your officers gather around the table in your tent as you consider your options.
A) Press on! Telleo seems indecisive, or at least sluggish in his actions - that will be his doom!
B) Let's fortify our position and let them come to us.
C) Send our horsemen to harass their lines and put pressure on the untrained peasantry.
