Dwarven Ale, Dwarven Wine, Dwarven Beer, and Dwarven Rum should be toxic to other races.
And dwarven tavern keepers prefer to give these drinks to non-dwarven races.
While refusing to serve them to your dwarves.
Because of this, dwarves will drink the blood of those who die from these drinks to get drunk
Depending on who your tavern keeper decides to poison, this will occasionally result in a fort-wide vampirism epidemic.
Wait...can vampires get poisoned? Well, for the sake of this suggestion they can.
hmmm….is there any poison ingame? If there is, you could make an adventure, have them contract vampirism, then test this, now for the suggestion
Things that poison the living heal the undead, and since undead things can’t digest things (except blood in the case of vampires), the smell of alcohol will remain, causing dwarves to follow the undead to try and drink from them. There is a small chance of dwarves trying to attack a vm[ire to get at their alcohol laden blood, this chance increases each time a dwarf drinks alcoholic blood. Sometimes even if they are not vampires, some dwarves will mistakenly believe that all blood has the alcohol and will act like vampires anyway. Real vampires will target these false vampires for competing with them for blood
