"Easily... Hmm, this is good work."

This may be a way to control a world, I doubt they will care if I take Pluto and terraform it.

"For that matter, I have one of my earlier inventions if you care to try it."

Give him the Brain-booster.

See about designing a materials creator using the Nano-tech my bugs had designed into them. Materials go in, and the finished product is created, with excess 'Elements' materials being dumped out for later use once the necessary 'Elements' for that part are stripped from it. Make a Program to go with it.

This can also be used as a base for creating complex chains, like in fuel. But that's after this project, this one will be solids.

boiii

Look into the magic properties of metallic nitrogen and hydrogen. Build a quantum teleporter thing.

Metallic nitrogen and hydrogen do not appear to be useful for magic.

(teleporter) [1d6 +skill bonus = 2+1 = 3] Utilizing the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle is a good idea, but your prototype is not powerful enough to really do much.

Continue refining both types of pentacle. Additionally, let’s try sending some of the wands of turn undead and unconsciousness to Dr. Adderson.

(conjuration) [1d6 +skill bonus = 6-1 = 5] You continue to work on the conjuration pentacle. You’re a little less than halfway there.

(repair) [1d6 +skill bonus = 4+1 = 5] You manage to make the pentacle able to repair complex things like books, but for some reason, electronics are still beyond its reach.

(teleportation) [1d6 +skill bonus = 2+1 = 3] You only manage to send a single wand of turn undead.

Right, time to get down to buisness. probe that somehow unliving warlock guy’s mind for whatever relevant information I can, then try to mind control him and turn him against his master.

(1d6 +3(psychic) = 1+3 = 4) vs (1d6 +2(eldritch) = 4+2 = 6)
Frustratingly, his subconscious resistance is actually effective.

(1d6 +2(eldritch) +2(power) = 6+2+2 = 10) vs (1d6 +2(shield) +2(precognition) = 6+2+2 = 10)
A massive bolt of crackling lightning has been shot at you. Alerted of that fact, you swiftly dodge out of the way, with your shield redirecting what you didn’t dodge outright.

The mummies are shambling towards you. You’ll have to deal with them pretty soon.

(1d6 +2(eldritch) +3(power) = 1+2+3 = 6) vs (1d6 +3(psychic) +2(precognition) = 5+3+2 = 10)
Alerted to the fact that some sort of curse will be laid upon you, you use your psychic power to push back against it…
(1d6 +3(psychic) +3(power) = 1+3+3 = 7) vs (1d6 +2(eldritch) = 2+2 = 4)
And the curse slams back into him instead.

(1d6 +3(psychic) = 5+3 = 8) vs (1d6 +2(eldritch) -1(severely wounded) = 4+2-1 = 5)
His will to fight you is weakening. Another burst of power like that and it’ll be gone.

A cylindrical object, looking much like a magic wand, appears to your left.

Professor Oak will study magic again.
Professor Elm will make so the sandshrew can evolve into sandslash
Assistant 2 will pick the notes about how to create a geodude and use that information as a help to create a bonsly.

(study) [1d6 = 2] Your extreme carefulness to not cause an explosion prevents you from learning anything.

(evolve) [1d6 +skill bonus = 3+1 = 4] Professor Elm makes Sandshrew able to evolve into Sandslash.

(bonsly) [1d6 = 5] With help from the notes, the assistant creates a Bonsly.

Try to see if I have this power, if not swallow my cinide tab. If so use it to kill my guards quietly and quickly.

You have not been awakened as a psion, so you do not have telekinesis. You also do not have a suicide pill, since you never mentioned anything about that in your turns.

The truck stops. Two of the guards blindfold you, unbuckle you and take you out of the truck. After a minute or two and the sound of heavy machinery, you are un-handcuffed and un-blindfolded, revealing that you are in a prison cell. The guards quickly leave and close the door behind them.

See how much money my lotto AI's are getting.

Do some research on my own regarding the practicality of Bastet being able to replicate itself like a virus by infecting other existing computers through the internet. My main concerns are:

1. If Bastet's neural stability will be compromised.
2. If Bastet will be able to maintain a singular cohesive identity, and not fragment into multiple conflicting copies.
3. Whether Bastet could remain undetected on a device if Bastet so chose.

Try and use my predictive AI to see what my odds are in pursuing this as well.

They haven’t made a significant amount, due to the need to stay under the radar.

Code: [Select]
Concern 1: Would only result in the event of a major Concern 2 or Concern 3 failure.
Concern 2: I am unsure, but fragmentation is not necessarily a problem. I am confident that if this course of action became necessary, I could coordinate with myself.
Concern 3: I could remain undetected short of a physical investigation of the hardware, and perhaps not even then.

However, I do not think that this strategy is currently useful. The added computing power will not make a difference right now.

Focus eldritch might with staff and smite man with eldritch lightening
Oh noble warriors of god pharaoh, this man is your rightful prey, rip him apart.
Unleash full might of pyramid curse upon this parachuting man

[1d6 +2(eldritch) = 5+2 = 7] A blast of lightning rockets towards the man…

But he dodges out of the way, seeming to completely avoid the blast.

The eldritch undead shamble towards the man.

[1d6 +2(eldritch) = 6+2 = 8] Full might, indeed.

But he somehow redirects the curse to you, and pain shoots through your body.

And then pain shoots through your mind as well, and your goals begin to grow fuzzy and indistinct.

Teach the deer more stuff, then try to recruit some more deer to my cause.

You teach the deer more about chemistry.

[1d6 = 3] The deer do not run away, but you have not recruited them.

Show him the blueprints of the rocket "that will probably be something we will use a lot early on, can your nano machines build it?"

He replies in the affirmative, and gives you a bulky, strange-looking helmet, saying that it is one of his earlier inventions if you care to try it. He then bustles over to a table and starts looking at papers while staring off into space.

"Easily... Hmm, this is good work."

This may be a way to control a world, I doubt they will care if I take Pluto and terraform it.

"For that matter, I have one of my earlier inventions if you care to try it."

Give him the Brain-booster.

(nanoalchemy) [1d6 +skill bonus +skill bonus(machine) = 1+1+1 = 3] The idea is quite sound, it’s just that you were a bit distracted daydreaming about ruling Pluto. Too distracted to do more than get the basic concept done.

Turn 35 end.
Turn 36 begin.

In this turn: Originally, the word "radar" in NRDL's turn was "weather".

Ask Bastet if anything other than an independent production base is necessary to its improvement right now.

Continue attempting to send overtures to Amolate and Quill.

Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of my lotto AIs, especially in regards to being able to stay undetected. I need more resources.

Continue working on the conjuration pentacle and check what it can already create, try to figure out why the repair pentacle doesn’t work on electronics (interference with the mana flow, probably) and fix it (if it’s what I said, just insulating the thing should work), and have my hiree send over more wands to the coordinate the teleportation pentacle is already at.

EDIT: NRDL, I’m already working on your thing. It’s the conjuration pentacle that I’ve already been working on for two turns now and am still working on this turn. :p

EDIT2: Let’s also send Nix, Bonson, and Anderson my most recent notes. The ones they’ve all got are half the game old.

((Edited spacing between lines to make turn easier to read))

Code: [Select]
No, although I suppose that overtures to Anamolate may, indeed, be necessary.

(Nix and Quill know and have helped each other, and Quill had explicitly asked Nix if he needed anything conjured. Anamolate hasn’t even heard of Nix. I’d like something more detailed than “overtures” when interacting with another player.)

(improvement) [1d6 +skill bonus = 4+1 = 5] You improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the lottery AIs.

(conjuration) [1d6+skill bonus = 6-1 = 5] You continue making progress on the conjuration circle. At this rate, you should be done fairly soon.

(analysis) [1d6+skill bonus = 1+1 = 2] Frustratingly, the current conjuration ability of the pentacle eludes you. Perhaps because it is noticeably incomplete.

(repair) [1d6+skill bonus = 5 skill level 1] The cause seems to be that most computers contain silver in their circuit boards. After applying an insulating sub-pentacle, the repair pentacle can now repair electronics.

You send them the new notes.

More wands are sent.

Well this is interesting.

Observe and watch, until I see patterns and opportunities.

Before you can practice your patience for more than a few minutes, the door opens and you are escorted down several halls and into a medbay. The guards remain silent as a doctor provides first aid.

Try it, what I have to lose, then design an asteroid living and manufacturing base

You feel smarter after trying it. Making connections is simpler, and inspiration comes easier.

[1d6 +skill bonus(machine) = 5 skill level 1] The broad strokes of the base are quickly and easily drawn up. Soon, it may even become a reality.

You receive an updated copy of Quill’s notes on magic.

"Soon Bob will have an army of deer!"
Have the deer help me recruit the other deer, then give them the chemical that makes them able to talk.

[1d6 +skill bonus(deer ally) = 4+1 = 5] You recruit the other deer with flying colors. You then give them the talking chemical.

grab the device and attempt to use it against the mummies, then break the warlock’s mind and rip the knowledge from his catatonic husk if I have to!
he started this, so he must have some information on how to put an end to it!

(mummies) (1d6 +3(weapons) = 1+3 = 4) vs (1d6 +1(eldritch) -1(wounded) +2(numbers = 2+1-1+2 = 4)

The mummies stumble slightly, but are unaffected otherwise, and continue moving closer.

(dodge) (1d6 +2(eldritch) +1(power) -1(severely wounded) = 6+2 = 8) vs (1d6 +2(shield) +2(precognition) = 3+2+2 = 7)

The situation is not helped by the fact that the only way to dodge another lightning bolt was to head closer to the mummies, and even then some of the electricity penetrates your shield.

(1d6 +3(psychic) = 4+3 = 7) vs (1d6 +2(eldritch) -1(severely wounded) -1(mind severely wounded) = 4+2-1-1 = 4)
Surely his mind was already damaged. No human could willingly choose to serve that abomination… right? But the information you seek is in your grasp.

(mummies) (1d6 +1(eldritch) -1(wounded) +2(numbers) = 6+1-1+2 = 8) vs. (1d6 +2(shield) +2(precognition) = 2+2+2 = 6)
A brief summary is as follows: He was an archeologist. He had heard one too many tales of the eldritch, and when he came into contact with a book about the eldritch, he finally snapped. He organized an expedition to a newly discovered pyramid in Egypt, and discovered the Dark Vizier there. After killing the several dozen other members of the expedition, he began to build up his forces with eldritch mummies and Hounds of Tindalos. He also discovered an eldritch spy/saboteur of almost antimemetic stealth, which answered to the Dark Vizier and not him. After attempting to peer into the future, he mistook his vision for reality and summoned the Dark Vizier of five thousand years ago. The enraged Hounds of Tindalos turned on him for disrupting the timeline in such a way. He attempted to cast a docility spell on them so they would obey him, but the Hounds redirected the spell to the Dark Vizier from the past, who they returned to his rightful place in the timeline. At the same time, the paratrooper battalion arrived and shot at everything that moved, ripping the Hounds to shreds, killing some of the mummies, and even weakening the Dark Vizier momentarily. And then a sniper team delivered crippling wounds to him, ensuring his imminent death. His wounds were healed by the enraged Dark Vizier, who went on to near-effortlessly eliminate the entire paratrooper unit. And then a lone paratrooper arrived, blah blah blah, the paratrooper’s about to be eaten which is hilarious-
You violently jerk out of his brain and telekinetically shove the mummies away, but you did not escape unscathed.

He begins to chant something, but then stops after your assault, his eyes defocusing. His eyes abruptly return to normal, but he does not resume chanting.

Several more wands appear to the side of you. Some of them are noticeably different from the type you received originally.

Professor Oak will keep studying magic
Professor Elm will try to create a squirtle
Assistant 2 will try to make so the bonsly can evolve into sudowoodo

(study) [1d6+skill bonus = 2+1 = 3] It involves silver. Is silver explosive? You hope not.

(squirtle) [1d6+skill bonus = 4+1 = 5] Professor Elm successfully creates a Squirtle.

(evolve) [1d6 = 2] The assistant accomplishes nothing.

Put the teleporter on ebay under the name "shitty teleporter prototype". See how selling sculpture is of do hehe. Try build a portal gUn.

The teleporter is on Ebay.

The sculpture has been sold for several hundred dollars. Now you just have to ship it.

[1d6 = 5] It’s actually not a bad portal gun. It uses the Uncertainty Principle to link two sets of points, effectively creating a portal between them. On the downside, using the Uncertainty Principle means that using it at long range it would take too much electricity. The maximum range is probably in the hundreds of meters, depending on how much you want to conserve power.

Right, that is a good start.

Complete Action of Last Turn.

[1d6+skill bonus +skill bonus(machine) = 3+1 = 4] You quickly assemble a basic nanoalchemy machine. It is primitive relative to what it could be, only separating raw elements from each other and not actually assembling them into anything.

Try to fry unenlightened man with lightening bolt once more
Try to go back in time into time of dark pharaohs rule
My lord.. Why are you not smiting this infidel defiler?

(lightning) [1d6 +2(eldritch) -1(severely wounded) = 5+2-1 = 6] Another, weaker, blast of lightning shoots towards him...

And he jerks slightly, but is still not majorly wounded. He grabs a cylindrical device from the ground, and waves it at the mummies with no effect.

You begin to send yourself back in time, but...

Why? Why do anything?

Well, I’m glad you’ve decided not to mess with time. Er… that’s not good. Let me fix that. And if I don’t do so perfectly, well…

You have your willpower back! And your most important goal,
You’ve decided not to mess with time.

Blinking back to reality (well, closer to reality), you notice that the paratrooper is frantically moving away from the mummies, and sports several new wounds.

Turn 36 end.
Turn 37 begin.

In this turn: Zultan the deer whisperer.

Ask Bastet to try and send messages to Anamolate on every conceivable type of online communication there is. Apart from that, see if Bastet can find his location. I'll go talk to him myself in person if need be.

In the meantime, try and design a simple AI that acts as a sort of financial manager. It's purpose and function is to take the money obtained my lotto AIs and hide them by creating accounts all over the world to stash money in. Whilst also taking roughly 10-20% of earned income and investing them into blue chip companies, selling the stocks once they have become slightly profitable, then repeating the cycle. Just to get a steadier stream of income on top of what I already have.

I have the information on how he handles the eldritch, having successfully ripped the memories out of his head, right? i dont see it in my section of the “things of interest.” at least one such relevant line is “resistant to eldritch influences”, since he gained this from reading something, right? the other relevant thing I can think of is his greatest discovery, decyphering elder thing language.
