"Well I should probably get back to my job. Sorry again if I brought up anything weird. Also if you need a lift anywhere then feel free to call me or if you even just need someone to talk to about... all this. This is a stressful situation your in so I can understand if you need to get your thoughts or feelings out sometimes. I mean at least that's how I'd feel if this was happening to me."
I mean I don't think we as the person we're playing would take that with us. Especially after our reaction to just his sparking human teeth.
You hand back the paper towel and its contents, Roger accepting them somewhat dubiously. "Well, I should probably get to my job now. Sorry again if I brought up anything weird."
"No worries. Hard to avoid, given circumstances..."
You nod. "Feel free to call me if you need a lift, or just someone to talk to about... all this. It's gotta be a stressful situation, so I can understand if you need to get your thoughts or feelings out sometimes. At least, that's how I'd feel if this was happening to me."
Roger smiles. "Thanks again. I'm glad to have made your acquaintance..." he gives you an awkward look. "...er, Elia, was it?"
"Yep. Elia Opal. Take care now, Mr. Williams."
"Will do. And, good luck today!"
You wave goodbye and step outside. Huh. Seems you've made a friend. Not a bad way to start off the day. Getting into your car, you check your phone as the engine sputters to life. Hey, seems there's a few calls already, and not a whole lot of other drivers around. Looks like you've got a few to choose from:
*
Mathew Henderson, going from outside the local
retirement home to a
bus stop outside the city limits.
*
Petra Farooqi, going from the
community center to the
bank.
*
Pat Kressener, going from a different
bus stop to a
hotel.
