So, how are the teams doing for numbers? I'm not sure which side I want to pick so I'll go for whoever seems fewer.

I believe that Industry is the one that has the player disadvantage as of the current moment. There seemed to be huge influx of players that flocked to Nature.

The other teams forum can be looked at right now (you are God’s it’s hard to keep secrets) but the discord’s can remain locked. Just don’t post in the other teams thread! Also with the traits, if the other team doesn’t think that the opposite trait applies to them, and they veto it and I agree, your team will have to come up with a new trait.

So consider carefully what traits/ opposites you pick! :P Have a spokesman put your traits/opposites with an explanation of what they mean here in the general forum once your team decides.

Mass Production: Mass Production is the very heart of Industry, the ability to make goods of all shapes and forms efficiently and quickly, to such an extent that all other forms of production are outmoded. Where a great chef may create the best strudel the world has ever known, few will able to see it let alone taste it's flavours firsthand. Industry Will ensure that pastries of all kinds are easily available to all, and at a reasonable price.

Arete: Arete is excellence in all things. Be it craft, planning, discovery or lifestyle, arete is the ideal of being better through hard work and the sweat of one's brow. It involves knowing that one is imperfect and that one can be improved and refined, that the first drafting may not be good, but it's future copies can be made far better./i]

After discussing with C2M, I'd like to propose a slight change to the spokesperson role.

At the moment it appears as if the spokesperson gets to be a tiebreaker, so that in the case of a tie the spokesperson gets an extra vote. This is unfortunate because that means whichever side of a disagreement that has the spokesperson just wins.

So I'm proposing that we change the nature of the spokesperson a bit. Instead of being the winner vote, I propose that the spokesperson job is to be a mediator and try to find a solution that both sides can agree to and C2M serves as the last resort in the case that some sort of entrenched tie cannot be broken. Thus removing their extra vote and giving them the increased responsibility of helping achieve compromise.

The whole reason for the decision was to expedite the process of picking the traits. It was supposed to be a quick and simple thing rather than a days-long debate.

Also, you're technically wrong; the spokesperson doesn't get a tiebreaker or an extra vote. They get infinite votes, though with a mandate to "represent the will of the team".

And that makes it better?
:P

Obviously, I agree with Roboson here: There should be a mediator, not a certainly-biased arbitrator who always gets what he wants.

Well, Mr. Spokesman, that doesn't seem to be what Mr. GM is saying in the nature thread under your careful watch :P

However in both cases, its a bad solution to relatively simple problem.

Isn't it?

to help represent the team’s will when choosing the traits that will define your team.
The teams will default to a democracy, though I may have like a rotating spokesperson position to represent the will of the group for a turn.

Mark my words: there will be a Strudel War before this is all over.

And we, the Industry faction, will refine that strudel into quality cuisine.
And mass produce it so we can sell it cheap!

Imagine, michelin star quality Strudel so cheap, that even the homeless can afford it!
