I have no issue with that, though, if we make it, we should do so with a small group of originals to remain, so as to allow for modification, without having to spend power erasing previous modifications. (As in have two units. The original, and the one with wings.)
Well, yeah. I think that was the plan. We leave the normal elves as our basic template and then branch out from there.

Well, here's a winged elf proposal, though I'm not sold on the idea:

Sgiath Elves: Elves are creatures of Water. Yet their connection is not a strong one; they are hardly elementals. It should, therefore, not be impossible to imbue them with Air aspects. By changing their woody composition to a lighter variation, and adding some (simple) wings (which resemble large, translucent leaves), we allow our agile archers to become flying firepower.

Alternate idea:

Tanglevine: This magical plant can grow in the most meagre of soil, yet it produces many thick vines that cover the ground and climb up structures. They appear perfectly ordinary, until an unsuspecting foeman steps too close- whereupon the vines will lash out, coiling round their legs, and pulling them to the ground, immobilising them. Tanglevine would take some time to mature, but the use of our Rods of Growth lets them be established in an area with great haste, suitable for setting up traps in the path of advancing enemies; whilst they struggle to free themselves from the vines, our archers can take them out from afar.

My idea on making the elves flying is to first learn air magic and a flight spell, then create a caste of elves with wings and air magic instead of nature magic. They'd probably only be useful for re-positioning and retreating at first, which is still pretty useful with decently rolled hit-and-run and ambush tactics. It'd take 2-3 turns, and I'd rather not start with it.

Tanglevines are good. We could probably also do pretty well with a hit&run/skirmisher groups tactic, or just magical swords so our troops can both shoot and melee.

Thing is, Abe has said that we wouldn't need to change anything to make the elves fly. Ergo, rather than taking multiple turns, we're just making them now.
Also, recall, the elves are archery specialists. Death from above is a powerful force.

Flight is huge for tactical considerations, especially if our opponents don't have it... and I suspect they took the Horde pack.

I also support tanglevines, though there's also the idea of ents, basically large, tanky elves that are good at melee.

Step 1: Fill ranks of army with flying death-from-above elves
Step 2: Develop very large tanky Ents to work on the ground and force the enemy to stay in our killing fields
Step 3: Develop fireproofing magic to combat our one remaining weakness
Step 4: Kill everything

We'll need one extra turn to combat the fire issues, maybe through a revision or something to make Elves less flammable?

Anyway, NUKE's suggestion is thoroughly good enough, though we don't need to lighten the wood they're made of. Hopefully he'll fix that when he gets back on.

Flying elves are the first thing we need to do.

Step 4: Kill everything
Can we please actually be the good guys?

I meant kill all the enemies, not literally everything.

Besides, we're ARMS RACE ENGINEERS.

Hey, everyone else, we really do need to get more votes. Even if you want Sgiath Elves to win, vote for it, so the GM knows that we're decided on it. The sooner we're done, the sooner the turn runs.

From what I can tell, there is nothing else to vote on. But. . . I guess.

I propose a medium size (half that of an average human), quadraped creature that is made up of mostly thorny vine-like tendrils, which can unravel until it reaches a bit above its core, allowing it to use those tendrils for offensive and defensive means.
I will call it Berikke Elves

I nearly wrote up an enchanted melee weapon, but whatever basic melee weapons we have should let us hold out if we roll badly here.

I don't see it on a forum thread. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but .. I miss the days when we trusted each other and didn't feel the need to separate forum games out on two mediums. Leaving critical information on Discord just feels hostile and makes me lose interest.
