Quick thought. Could we break a psycher's psyche, subject them to a focused bath in our sorcerer's will, put them in a box with some warped broadcast equipment, and use it as a fake sorcerer with which to control rubrics?

Militia
By giving cultists some basic training, we can get them to do amazing things, like looking down a gun's sights, taking cover when someone shoots at them, attempt suppressing fire and covering their allies, spread out their fire against things that don't require concentrated fire to bring down, recognise the difference between soft and hard cover and recognise that pretty much everything is the former so don't stay in one place, and generally behave vaguely like soldiers with hints of competence and a survival agenda rather than a clueless gang of hooting thugs looking to prove themselves.
Just occurred to me that Militia would probably also include any cult members who are from the PDF. This might or might not be worth mentioning in the proposal description.

Now, votewise, I'm deliberating between Militia, Flak Armour, Stubber Buggies, and seeking Alpha Legion support. Any two of these would be decent choices: Militia + Flak would give use infantry who are approaching PDF level of skill and equipment (Not necessarily a high bar, but it is the most basic tier of soldiery in the Imperium); Militia or Flak + Buggies would give us semi-competent or more durable grunts, and either way a combat vehicle to support them; Alpha Legion could provide opportunities for many different things (Tech and otherwise), but I think guaranteed would be another variety of Elite squad, and would probably be most useful combined with the more effective human soldiers that Militia would give us.

We should definitely armor the goliaths.

Also, we should further improve our sergeants.
Pretty sure both of these would be revisions, unless you're think of something really drastic for our Sergeants.

Doubt it, the controller needs to be able to perceive the material world. Without that input, there's basically no point; rubrics won't really be effective.

Given that a defiler is a daemon engine it would be pretty damn obvious if we deployed one that a chaos cult is in town (much like if we deploy marines). Would be worth having the ability to call upon them but for now we should stick with the more mundane ideas.

I'm voting for the buggy design, fast moving raiders would allow us to hinder the xenos scum.

I'm also proposing this:
Swords and axes
Simple in nature but a lot more dangerous than a mere knife, both are more useful against armour and should be easy to acquire or make without drawing too much attention from the imperials.

The problem with melee is that we have to get there. With unarmoured Goliaths that's not happening any time soon.

I personally think we should get to PDF and then Imperial guard level ASAP, it will give us a advantage against our multi armed tyranid worshiping friends.

It is not like PDF or guard ever manage to deal with genestealers or tyranids despite flak armour and not that bad gear, it is sneaky multiarmed very fast and hard to kill superpredator genetically engineered by hivemind to fuck over your average human planetary defences with flak armour and stuff.

But geneforged transhuman kill machines, who are also galaxy greatest specialists in sabotage, stealth warfare and collapsing goverments by spreading chaos cults are more then capable of overpowering alien horrors. By virtue of being alpha legion, they would be able to do their transhuman shenengians without attracting unneeded attention. And, well, what can be as good as accidental toxic gas leaks or promethium pipe explosions on enemy base?

They are unlikely to be pure genestealers at present. More probably, they will be somewhat of a cultist horde for a fair while. That said, someone who knows how to punch a genestealer in the face, and something that can buzz around and put stubs into them would be useful. We don't want to be unable to confront the few genestealers that they do have. Then again, militia is probably relativly cheap. it is mostly training, so unlikely to overload our limited military budget... And we don't have a revision with which to construct flak armour from civilian materials. But maybe that will happen anyway? I mean, it is not munitions...
