I really don't know much about goliaths, but the quad-linked turret doesn't seem popular. Can someone propose something else? Maybe one with multiple single stubbers on swivel-mounts with armoured shields? The weight of the stubber combined with the load-bearing of a goliath seems like something that would benefit both designs...

Getting a somewhat trained cult is a priority, given that we need some training to get the best use out of our better equipped and faster units.

Sorry guys, but 'Be better soldiers' is a bit more than a revision.
If you want them to meet the illustrious standards of the PDF, it's going to require a design- possibly even a grand design depending on the breadth of your reforms.

I'm not going to stop you throwing revision dice at it, however it'll likely just give you a minor increase in accuracy or some-such.

Same as most arms races. Improving specific wordings or aspects on a design.
You can change the standard 'fire and advance' tactic to be a 'fire and retreat' or 'advance to close', and I have no issues with daisy-chaining things into completely new forms via revisions.

You could take the 'Technical' goliath and improve or change it. Adding a heavy weapon mount, for instance, is a revision, as was the 'quad-stubber' mountable-weapon (Two ways to reach the same goal)
Although four guns is a bit intense unless you're planning on making changes to turn your goliath into an open-topped AA-truck style thing - which would also be a revision.

I think as a GM it's not entirely fair for me to offer inspiration though, so I'll just constantly poke my head in if something seems overly ambitions or (if ever) overestimated.

With the formation of the cult, and it's dedication of chaos & tearing the imperium down we have first selected the omnipresent authoritarianism of the imperium to burn down to nothingness. By having our units elect their leaders, we show that it is the best suited for the job that takes the positions of leadership, not those appointed though nepotism!

How about this:

Goliath weapon mounts
Despite the current lack of armour, the solid structure of the Goliath provides an excellent platform for heavy weapons, we just need a way to attach them. With some reworking, we can add mount points for heavy firepower on the top and maybe the front and sides - mounts to fit everything from our current heavy stubbers to Autocannon, and perhaps even something akin to the Taurox Battle Cannon for the main mount.

I'd like to save a dice. Goliath weapon mounts aren't needed right now, and I'm opposed to putting expensive weapons on squishycars. Saving a dice would let us get two designs next turn to counter whatever they came up with.
