If nothing else, at least I could be the one blaming my failures on someone else's choices.  Would be less stressful than being the one genuinely responsible for the failures.   ::)

Is this "generic PW game OOC" now?  Because if so I approve.

To be fair, our wordlist was just about perfect for our mission, but if we keep rolling badly there's little we can do. Summoning alien demon tigers on a string of [pot:2] rolls (or even more hilariously, [int:2] and loosing control) wouldn't give smooth sailing either.

((random gang one))

Hey, what am I, chopped liver?  ;-p
You are a dangerous enemy. And an even more dangerous ally.

Two weeks late to join at the beginning of Chalice, and i notice that the gangs have formed:
There's random gang one, random gang two, and
Radio, Pancaek, syvarris, Egan, and Nikitian.

now, do I join and tag along with the Juggernaut?
Join another faction and prepare for the inevitable steamrollering?
PTW?
Nothing?

I think if i joined I'd probably go with the juggernaut and make a completely useless character. It's worked out so far in this game.
I dunno if it will be a steam rolling. So far Sy's team has succeeded in gunning a few people down and getting shot. One of the other teams summoned an alien demon tiger and it has been slaughtering ever since.
hmmm. mhm mhm mhm.A compelling argument. On teh other hand, with time, randomness decreases and stragety (yes, stragety), increases.

well, nothing for it but to join and die ignobly.

I blame syv's wordlist. Would be much better if we had a bunch of ornate and flesh and wings and feathery. ^_^
I mean, what's an adventure without a little ornate?

[1] You pull out your first aid kit and promptly dose Yarrick with enough morphine to knock him out. He slumps in the seat, boneless, and oozes down onto the floor. You look at it for a moment and then bark out a single laugh.
Now this is lighthearted humor :P
I can imagine Syv's character slipping a hand on morphine, slipping off onto Yarrick, and then injection happens with Simon pulling it out just in time (and meaning there's still one or two more uses of first aid left...I'm betting them kits have 2 uses each though)

Then humor with no lasting consequences occurs, other than knocking him out. :P

Also keep fighting guys! :I We're just OH SO CLOSE to that officer depot! Use all them magazines (and did anyone pick up my scoped springfield?)

Here's how this is going down.

Thing I am doing
I am driving north of the oddly shaped building, between it and the four AA guns to the north. there are five enemies known to be in the area. at least two should be north of the truck. at least two should be south of the truck. There will be three buildings surrounding us. I will be parking the truck in the middle of the three buildings.

Thing I am recommending for you guys to do
Two of you should sweep north and take on the enemy there.
Two of you should sweep south and take on the enemy there.

Two or more should attempt to enter the oddly shaped building.
At least two should stay with the truck. That needs to be guarded, and needs to get free should reinforcements happen.

Thing I am doing
Be aware, if Edward is driving, and the truck comes under threat, he will be leaving immediately with the cargo everyone was so pissy about him not getting before. Anyone that gets left behind is on their own.

Opinion on the situation
We have a limited window here to do a raid, since there are known to be at least half a dozen enemies out on the north end of the runway, who might double back to cause trouble.
They might not, though ,since the base exploded and all.

Thing I am recommending you to do
Someone who is going into the oddly shaped building should take at least one satchel charge and place it, after having explored.

The other two buildings should be left for now. IF there are windows in them, we can throw charges in on the way out. if the oddly shaped building is not our target, we can explore them after.

Thing I suggest can be ignored completely.
Don't bother trucking with teammate corpses. It's a waste of turns and can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Just fucking leave them.
If you do decide to waste your time, and get left behind, I suggest taking at least one satchel charge and heading back down to the munitions buildings as well. May as well fi8nish that job, right?

I posted this IC. I am posting it here for discussion.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Basically, I want two healthy and weapon wielding people attacking north, and two south, while the medic continues triage.
I want Nix to take the wheel, because I think he's reliable and will gtfo if needed. Jack can shoot from the truck if need be, but do try to stay behind the frontlines long enough to get healed, eh?

Objectives at this point are to clear out any enemies in sight and to take control of the AA guns and building entrance.

next, I want the snipers to both take to the rooftops for covering fire, someone not entirely damaged to take at least one aa gun (doesn't have to be smith, but yarrick and nix are out of it and jack is teetering on the brink), and the remaining ablebodied teammates to get into the building, including anyone with satchel charges or other useful explosives.

Optional objectives: I see someone has landmines: mine the south and west accesses. Leave north and east for us to escape through.
Attept to capture a live one: if one or more of the enemies in this encounter look important and can be taken live, do so. if we get at least one live one, we can abort going into the building and just gtfo, having successfully accomplished our mission.

If possible, stage three involves dropping our remaining explosives into the three buildings currently not on fire and bugging out.

Finally, I suggest speaking with HQ about a rendesvous point now, before we are separated.

I (Jack) am okay with that, but healing is for sure good, mmmk?

That's why my recommendation for Smith is to heal you first.

Anyone else with first aid can try to heal you guys too, but I'd rather the actual medic do it, seeing as how we are down exactly one Yarrick at this point due to 'first aid.'

You shrug and whip out the girly mag. Huh...there's a surprising amount of stuff in here that involves two physically perfect blonde haired people and the corpses of allied soldiers.

Huh.
This is not what I expected. Although I don't know what I expected either, other than the impression that its a girl's magazine. o_O

That's going to hit up some kind of storm when you give that to the Brass. :P
And denoting that what stage we're in in WWII is greater and far more sinister than what it seems.

You lay down in a way that you hope provides you with both the most cover and the most opprotunity to shoot nazis.  A medic works on you as you lay there, stiching you up and bandaging the burns. [+3 life]

Hum.
Piecewise: Do you have any ideas of medical equipment we can requisition that are in ways, better than the first aid/medical bag?
Can we do group requisitions so that every mission, we've a # of soldiers with a certain type of support item?

((This legitimately made me burst out laughing.  A girlie mag is not meant for girls, it's basically a WWII name for Playboy-style mags.  Softcore porn.  PW's definition of porn is just... girthier than that of regular people.))

At the request of Radio, I'm updating the pokemon game.  Why does he want this?  I'unno, but whatever, not like it's hard.

Huh. Well, hopefully I don't live in a false illusion world now!
Remember what I was doing and use my charmander to burn some nazis.

Ahh fuck everything is on fire over here too.

This is neither an action, nor correct!  But it is freeform, so it gets a roll regardless.

[6]

Nevermind, you were quite correct.  Everything is on fire, because Charmander starts coughing and vomiting gouts of flame everywhere.  None of it hits you, but things are getting very hot now, and Charmander looks... well, as sick as a baby dinosaur that's vomiting literal fire.  Pretty sick.

Zoroark's still gone, too.

Distract Arbok from how juicy and delicious I look by making him help me with this:

-snipped quote about armor thickness testing-

Eager to do some proper science, and inspired by how shitty space marine power armor apparently is, you pull paper and a couple pens out of nowhere.  You offer one pen to Arbok, and then start scribbling.

[1]

You barely get through "7. Same test as 4, but this time the penetrator is made from a carved ponyta hoof.  How many space marines are penetrated, and how many of them suffer a lethal wound?" before you realize Arbok isn't helping at all.  You look up from your work, and see it utterly failing to grasp a pen with its tail.  After a few more seconds of rolling the pen around on the ground, Arbok frustratedly swipes the pen away with its tail, then hisses angrily at you.  Venom drips from its fangs as it begins to coil in preparation for a bite.

Quote from: CrocAndBearLover
Breath daemonic fire at him, then grab and stomp him into the ground.

[6]

Well then.

[217] (Ursaring)
[26] (Raichu)

You angrily roar at the glowing marine, and as the five images of him start to roll back together, you realize he's turned yellow and started to shrink.  Undaunted by chaos' strange whims, you attempt to breath fire at the fuzzy space marine... and completely fail.  You roar again, this time in ursine rage, and charge the now-tiny enemy.  Picking his mouselike body up in one paw, you slam it back into the ground, and move to stomp on him.  You pause upon realizing that your leg is now covered in brown fur, rather than the glorious armor and blood it had been mere minutes ago.

[3]

While you're distracted, the small yellow mouse thing that has replaced the terminator marine starts rolling away from you.  It gestures at you with one small fuzzy paw, then starts inspecting itself in confusion.
