Traps is tempting, but it feels like mechanisms which we don't have. I also like the 2 designs and a revision plan, although we probably need to spend something on strategy. I feel that redeploying the spitters south would be wise...

Modification of the worker mandibles proved troublesome, but we have them down well enough to serve as grinders to macerate food.
It doesn't sound like current mandibles are source of problems. Why do you think that it will net any noticeable improvement in food production?

We are talking about simple traps that any caveman can do, not mechanical wonders of dwarven fortresses. There are very few mechanisms in pit traps or snares...

Front one is the most important because of mission... and moving national effort around is a free action anyway

We really don't need to move the spitters. Front 2 and 3 will fall without them.

Two is a nice number, what do you have against 2? We should have more twos...

I don't want spitter melee upgrade or better mandibles to win and I see benefits of two designs next turn.

We should adjust our production to include more Soldiers at the expense of workers, I would say a 10% change.

We improved workers twice. Why should we decrease their numbers?

The soldiers are not dying to artillery? They shouldn't be especially more difficult to hit that workers, so one assumes that they are resistant... Still, workers work. Less workers may mean less manpower...

I could agree to a policy of more soldiers combined with a tactic of hiding behind soldiers when advancing through fire...

Indeed, we've upgraded Workers- their effect/cost ratio should be close to that of Soldiers, who have received little love so far.
Besides, Workers are 6 times better at holding territory. Which is what matters, at the end of the day.
Now, more Spitters, I could maybe support. They deal truly disproportionate casualties, and in an early phase to boot.

But I'd also be fine with No Actions

Nat efforts are locked at max 5%

In any case, we already get more soldiers than the ratio suggest because they get way less attrition.
