Not bad. Less Official, but my feathers are slightly less ruffled.
In other news-
Does this mean pulling troops out of the Unfinished will end movement?
I mean, do hazards contest?

Yes.

One more round of combat during the retreat. Damn. Why were we pulling out again? Oh, yeah, to avoid combat...

Ouch.

This plan hurts, guys. This plan hurts a lot. Anyways, we have to evacuate them, I guess. No point in waiting. An extra turn, though...Let's hope that Kasgyre drags their feet a bit on getting demispires captured.

I could get behind WOMV (Wreth Official Military Vessel) or WONV (W.O. Naval Vessel) or WOMS (W.O. Military Ship) or WONS (W.O. Naval Ship)... But not WMS... We need to make it official, you see.

Also Milo, we're pulling out to save at least SOME of those marines and their equipment, and not just leaving those guys there and suffering total losses. At the very least we have a numerical advantage in skiffs there, so they're less likely to get our transport.
(Random thoughts: Naming our first battleship the 'Red Tape'?)

Ooh, failure to correctly capitalise Official... that's three days signing penal memos.
Let's hope that Kasgyre drags their feet a bit on getting demispires captured.
That won't happen. But more importantly, they won't (hopefully) be ready for the hazards.

Also, the plan B of "shuffle the skiffs" has been squashed lads.
We need a new.. i don't know the word for it. 10th man?

+1 to the battleship name!

I know why we are pulling out, and I more or less agree that it has to be done, but this rule clarification is gonna make it hurt...

The transport is worth much more than the marine equipment. I'm in favor of abandoning them for better odds at getting the transport home in one piece. We can probably manage a retreat, with our faster and more numerous ships and recon.

I think this new rule means we need to order the other transport repaired at the end of this turn.

This is also a good point, so the question is, do we risk the transport to save least some of the marines, or do we play it safe and just order the transport to retreat, and leave those marines to their fate...
(Also Nirur, Plan A did involve having WOSV Jigsaw repair after returning to Wreth)

Hm.

Leave the marines. They might be able to keep a foothold, in which case we send the Herbie/discount transport there ASAP with reinforcements and equipment. If they all die, well, uh, they all died and we can't go there for a little while.

Plan A already does that.

To your other point:...you may be right, unfortunately. A few swords and Pincushions are cheap, transports are not. Given the rules around retreating, I think we may need to be monsters and leave our brave marines to fend for themselves against the slendermen.

I propose Plan C, which is Plan A except instead of extracting the marines from the Unfinished, the Implacable retreats back to Wreth unencumbered. Remember, the Implacable is already heavily damaged. Nirur is right; we shouldn't risk sinking it

With its lift crystal cracked, it might just have to rely somewhat on trim crystals to make up some of the weight... Which would lower speed and make it even more vulnerable if we tried an evacuation... Maybe if we outclassed local Kasgyri forces I would stick to Plan A... But a 4v3 isn't quite at totally outclassed yet...
