Examine the golem parts from my hidden position. Anything unique-looking among them?

((4/5 players submitted actions, so let's go))

Skia starts around the edge of the clearing, sliding through the shadowy underbrush, while ATHATH does his best to examine the bodies from his hiding place by the trail. ((I'll assume the others are still moving up))

Sadly their plans are for naught, as flabort stupidly blunders into the clearing and starts stirring through the shards. With a roar 4 Dire Hounds leap on him from the far side of the clearing where they were waiting in ambush!

((Idiot. You should have waited for Skia to scout the area.))

Skia and ATHATH are still in hiding (range 4), FakerFangirl is near the edge of the clearing (range 2), flabort is currently being mauled (range 0), PaPaj is still coming up the trail (range 6).

@flabort: This is going to hurt. Sorry.

Name: Dire Hound
Alignment: South Negative
Type: Melee
Eats: You!
A large black dog-like animal that runs in packs. Not very strong individually, but can pose a threat in groups. Once prey is scented they will follow relentlessly. Ambushes along trails and roads are a favored tactic.

Combat round 1: enemy
Hound 1 attacks flabort: -1 Health HP
Hound 2 attacks flabort: -3 Health HP
Hound 3 attacks flabort: -0 Health HP
Hound 4 attacks flabort: -4 Health HP

flabort is critically injured!

((I won't kill you in the first combat encounter, but try to be at least a little more cautious next time ok? If you hadn't rushed ahead (after I warned you!) the hounds would have spread their attacks and all would be well))

I need combat actions from everyone. flabort, you can make piteous moans until someone hits you with at least 4 HP of Health healing.

Fly up to range 2, and wither Hound 4

Ripple surges the nearest hellhound. Then I begin strangling the hellhound closest to flabort.

Skia sighs. Bloody idiots.

Skia approaches the fight by 2, attempting to stay hidden

@FakerFangirl: Strangle adds dice and a cool damage over time effect to your standard attack (Surge), it isn't a separate attack. (Even if it was you can only attack once per round) I'll just assume you Surge whatever is closest.

((I'll wait for everyone this time. This means combat will be a little slow, but I don't want to leave anyone out))

Use Energize on Flabort to bring him up to whatever health level is necessary to GTFO of melee range.

And if this works then do my action

He will need to roll at least one 6 with two dice to take you to 1 HP. Better cross your fingers (maybe you should plan to run instead of fighting if he succeeds).

BTW: Particularly right now I would suggest looking at the Simple D6 rules (linked from the first post) to get an idea how effective your actions will be. In combat you mostly need to roll at least a 4 to do any damage at all. Some of you can only roll one die, I think the most any of you can do is two unless you get a sneak attack or something (for example PaPaj gets 4 dice  and +1 damage for his first attack provided he attacks an enemy already engaged by an ally).

Ok, that's everybody.

Ripple hammers Hound 1 with surge (5, 5) dealing a a solid hit!
Skia slides closer, still in the shadows (range 2, you can move and attack next turn)
ATHATH uses Energize on flabort (6, 2), flabort is healed to 1 HP
flabort limps away as fast as he can, then casts Wither on Hound 4 (5), nothing much happens. (Wither is ineffective vs Death elementals)
PaPaj runs forward (range 4)

Keep fleeing, try to get behind another party member, or behind a corpse, or up in a tree. Keep an eye out for loot on the way, but hurry.
