He is inviting you, your wife and newborn son for a 'family reunion', so to speak; as the Damedians of the south celebrate Greatness, the (5th) anniversary of victory of Damed over all fake gods of men, the Eldrican court is taking this opportunity to host a party at the royal palace. Invited are numerous prestigious personas both local and foreign, and of course, Emperor of Methiant had to be invited as well.

I agree that is tactically sound thinking, but there is no way in hell the players will vote to convert.

If anything, we are in the age of fireblood, and religion is less important. We could offer a military alliance in spite of our differences and hopefully get a similar effect.

I'm also hoping Feir can find a husband for our sister. We have not officially named our new son heir, and I'd rather not do so until he comes of age. We have had two long regencies in a very short peroid, I'd rather not suffer a third, but if Aina does wind up having to take the crown, she will need heirs of her own.

Diplomacy is good. It offers opportunities of all kinds. And yeah, things would not go well if we converted to the Cult of Damed. Civil war is only one of the problems caused by that. Also, it's the Age of Fireblood. Speaking of which, I wonder what the next step is technologically, though I also imagine it involves a constantly increasing number of hand arms. Preferably with us ahead in that regard, since being left behind technologically can be disastrous.
