To confirm: we're only choosing to let them speak, right? Not just straight up converting right now?
Don't worry, if push comes to shove we can have a civil discussion with Haspen and explain to him quietly that we did not want this.
Ha ha just kidding we'll find his house and murder him if he converts us to their proto-Mormanism.
Geeze, if you feel so strongly about it, just vote A :p

B. I wasn't involved in the first SPAMKINGDOM, so I don't have the raging hate boner for the Damedians that I suspect some people here possess. We should under no circumstances convert; Cyl sought us out as a wife as he reasoned that the Pantheonist nations should stick together, so we can cite both our love for him and desire to peacefully merge with his strictly Pantheonist nation as reasons to politely decline conversion.
That said, we SHOULD throw them a bone if at all possible; Sponsor a temple or something. Maintaining a healthy relationship with the Damdamians is important for several reasons:
1: At some point, we will likely send our armies north or east to fight Gubta, Parsia, Albion, or Rosamana. I'm more than a little concerned that the Damdamians might decide to take advantage of such an opportunity and march on us if our troops are away from home, but the more friendly we are to them, the less likely it is that it will happen.
2: Damdamian nations seem more than willing to buy stuff from us. We don't need their religious leaders deciding they don't like us, and telling their King's to stop buying Methianese Goods.
3: Damdamians are allowed to practice slavery. We are not. Once the toxic dust dies down in Orcworld, if the Orcs are still alive, we could sell the Damdamians permits to pass through our fort and hunt Orcish Slaves. This could earn us money, and keep the savage population in check.
4: I strongly suspect that Ruberta grew up praticing the Damdamian faith. I don't think it would be in character for her to be mean to the religion practiced by her family back home in Eldrican.
