How fun is SPAMKINGDOM series?

Mind-bogglingly popular game series that you follow from early on and cannot stop, waiting for new installment like a drooling addict.
Long-runner soap opera you're too invested into to just stop watching it.
A fun little comic strip in the daily newspaper that's been around forever.
3/6
Who said it's fun? I didn't for sure.
I'm just waiting here for it to die horribly already so it will stop showing on my Unread Posts list.

Actually. This just reminded me of something: Didn't we order a statue of Yoe II to be built somewhere in our empire before we sponsored this performance? Whatever happened to that?

If you talk about peasant donation money, it was used to up the Treasury a notch, not to sponsor a statue.

You approve of the spectacle. With government's endorsement, Pantheonist help and people's love for such kind of entertainment, soon more writers will follow, and maybe even the actors and choral voices will gain some recognition, too.

Few days later, Cyl returns to Cydwyl, having his own state to run.

1181 AD, Late Spring

A bit late, but the silverware selling report comes in!

Quote
2to4

Some profits were made.

1181 AD, Summer

A terrible scandal arises!

Some young historian has recently had stumbled upon some old diaries, and in his curiosity he had brought up a rather shocking truth into the light - one of Doge's great-grandmothers was apparently not a noblewoman, but a peasant girl working in castle stables!

You decide to...

A) Acknowledge the fact.
B) Deny it fervently.

Exactly where on the family tree did this happen? My vote depends on it.

If the scandal involved Ruberta's ancestors in Eldrican, A. We can argue that the common blood is in our own veins as well, and it has not affected our ability to rule.

If the scandal somehow happened to House Yoe on our watch (which I doubt), B. We need to protect the reputation of the greatest bloodline in SPAMKINGDOM history.

If the scandal occurred back in Cydwyl with our husband's ancestors, B. We could make the same arguments for Cyl as we make for ourselves, but Cydwyl is a much more traditional place, and we don't want to piss our husband off or land him in hot water by dragging up dirt on his ancestors.

A no matter what.

We have the council and the crown to buff authority.  It's no big deal.

I'm not worried about how Methiant reacts, I'm worried about how Cydwyl reacts, and I don't think our crown or council has any pull there.

...You know what. I'll just vote B.

B.

We can not risk Doge being deemed an illegitimate heir to Cydwyl. Furthermore, if Doge is considered Illegitimate, so will either all our or Cyl's children be.

You decide to acknowledge the fact. The peasants are content that you had guts to admit the truth, but noblemen are appalled that such a noble and respectable family has such ignoble secrets.

You're sure your authority took a hit.

1181 AD, Autumn

Synch'd, the merchants provide reports on sales of spice, glasswork and springwine.

Quote
4to5, 6, 2to5

The glasswork brought greatest profits, while spices both filled the Treasury and made your noblemen chant praise. Springwine sales, while moderate at best, contributed to the Treasury's numbers as well.

1181 AD, Mid-Autumn

A delegation of Damedian envoys, or to be more accurate, theologians, have arrived at your court. They are asking if you have a moment to talk about their Lord and Father, the great Damed.

A) Shut the castle gates in front of their noses.
B) Let them in, for they bring enlightenment.

Frown, prop on your most comfortable pillow and B nice about it. They let our scholars in, we should do the same, at least in a token manner.
