And because of the prophecy, which I still suspect is tied to Cyl's reign, I'd rather wait until the next king rises if we want to mess with the dwarves again.

You decide to ask King Daric help repair your relationship with the dwarves. He laughs a little.

"Dwarves don't even pretend to be modest. They're as capricious as easily bribed. Just send them money. My father did that three times after three different incidents and the dwarves were back to being amicable neighbours in no-time." You try to ask him to be a mediator though.

Edit: Good to know dwarven friendship can be bought. Might be of use down the line. I'm still leaning slightly towards just killing them for more elf boons once Cyl dies and the prophecy is no longer a thing, but it is good to know we have options.
